This is my second pair of Ecco Berlin boots. I loved the first pair. They are light and waterproof. They wear well. Zappos had the best deal on a new pair. They ship quick. Thanks, Zappos!

Great lightweight boot. Very comfortable. I have not had the chance to check out their waterproof ability but I trust Gore-Tex. No break in needed. Note: they run 1 full size large.

I'll definitely be buying another pair of these boots. A great combination of style and comfort. They are a full size smaller than stated. If you usually wear a size 43, then order a size 42.

The 42\'s were here within 24 hours. Unbelievable! Perfect fit, super-comfortable. \r\nOne reviewer described the looks as "boring". I say "understated"--and just what I was looking for. No bells or whistles and that\'s OK with me; save that for the circus clowns.\r\nI love \'em!

Order the next size smaller! I should have listened to the customer surveys, but I called Ecco directly and they told me the Berlin GTX boot ran true to size. Not! I am always a size 43, and that's what I ordered. I only had to put on one shoe to find out that Ecco was wrong in the advice they gave me. (That aside, I've bought at least 10 different pairs of Ecco shoes and boots, and I've never been disappointed. They always look great, are very comfortable, and they last almost forever!) A quick call to Zappos was all it took to have a size 42 on its way, even before the 43s were shipped back to Zappos. I love this company! And their customer service is truly that. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. I'm sold! I'll let you know how the shoes work out when I get them.

For a place with a variety of weather possibilities (like Boston), these are great all-around boots. They are appropriate with just about anything (from casual to more dressy), they are very comfortable, and they can take a lot of wear. I've worn a pair of these for a year now and am looking to get another. Recommend getting the size lower than your usual size (I am an 11 in most shoes, but in these I am a 10-10.5).

overall, I believe this is a highly overpriced shoe. The look borders on boring and the comfort is just ok. I do not feel that they are worth the $$. I wish I had returned them prior to walking out my front door. problem is, that is the only way I was going to review them properly.

Looks good on the outside -
I really like the looks of the boot. It's lightweight and fits well. After wearing the pair for a day I noticed that a lacing eyelet came loose on the inside of the boot. Not a big deal except for the price I would have expected more durability.

Do It All Boot -
This boot fits great, is very sleek, and light weight. For the price I was expecting a heavier boot but the feather weight suits me fine. I bought this boot for short leisure trips on my motorcycle or just to sport around with my favorite jeans; great dual purpose shoe.
Wow!
I can say it once and I can say it a zillion times: "Zappos shoes puts a zip in my step every time."

I liked it so much I bought a second one! I never do this, but this shoe (received today within 48 hours of my order) looks so great and fits so great, I am ordering a second one as a back-up. Ecco and Zappos are an unbeatable combination, and no, I don't work for either company.

Comfortable right out of the box - My husband bought these for work and also to wear with nicer jeans, etc. He stated the shoes are very light, the leather is very soft and they were pretty comfortable right out of the box. That said, they are slightly wide for his feet. But my husband has very narrow feet. They also accommodate his orthotics, which he was happy about.

Neat Waterproof Boot -
The Berlin GTX is a versatile boot. It looks good with jeans and dress slacks. I was surprised by how light weight it is. Grab a pair fast. Nice-looking waterproof boots in extended sizes aren't made very often.

Adventures in re-buying -
My son asked for this shoe for Christmas. I ordered both the size he asked for (not his usual size) and also his usual size. My order was delivered the next day so I had it in plenty of time before Christmas. I wrapped the size he asked for and put it under the tree. When he took it out of the box, what a wonderful looking shoe! He put it on and it fit perfectly, felt great. I like shopping online, and appreciate being able to look at many different styles and the variety of sizes which Zappos.com carries. Every time I've ordered from them the merchandise has arrived quickly and they have been very cordial about returns. Zappos.com is an excellent resource.
