I have owned an identical pair purchased over two years ago and wear them pretty much every day when walking is required, and for work. They are ultra-comfortable, well-made, and a good shine makes them look like the day they were purchased (this is for people who are pretty light on shoes -- otherwise, they don\'t last nearly so long). Ecco has since changed their manufacturing practice. The new pair I ordered were the same (European) size, but were WAY too large for me *new*, not broken in. That\'s at least a size and a half larger than the original. Also I think they changed the factory in which they were manufactured. It\'s been a while since they have been made in Europe, but one does expect consistency in sizing.

I tried on several different brands and styles of shoes. I was looking for something that was casual and professional since I wear a lot of "Aloha wear" in Hawaii when I work. The Ecco's were much improved from the last pair I owned with a better insole. Much more comfortable in the front of the shoe and they have broken in nicely. I walk a lot for work and recommend these to anyone seeking comfort and style.

Perfect everything shoe -
I bought this shoe for my husband. He normally dresses casually for work. Then there are trips he takes to visit customers where he needs to be more dressed up. This shoe is perfect for both worlds. He can wear this shoe with jeans, khakis, and suits. It's also perfect for the airports when you need to take your shoes off going through security. Fast on. Fast off. Oh, and they are comfortable.

I agree that they come about 1/2 size large, but are very comfortable and great for narrow heels… unlike other Eccos. Stylish enough to wear with slacks/suit.

Great shoe, if your foot is narrow...
I had a similar shoe to this (might even be the same style) that I got years ago so I went looking for a replacement. That shoe was very comfortable so I was really looking for as close a replacement as I could find. Now, I don't know if they just don't make this shoe in wide sizes or my memory is foggy but this shoe definitely isn't made for the "wide of foot". I usually get size 12's but for this one, I had to get a size 13 to fit properly (even so, it's snug but not uncomfortably so). Just be forewarned. Despite this, the shoe looks nice and is great for casual to semi-casual occasions (I wouldn't wear it for a formal occasion but that's me). No problems wearing these shoes for hours. Oh, and these are perfect for traveling since you can slip them on/off for security. All in all, a good buy.

Eccos are greattttt!
This is my first pair of Eccos and I have been nothing but impressed with the comfort and classic styling of these pair of shoes. Wore them for 6 hrs in my first day and they are breaking in nicely and comfortably as well. Will definitely be paying extra for a shoe that provides quality at first look and wear! Eccos are great!

Quality shoe requires some break in.
These shoes have a narrow forefoot space as pictured. I have worn these shoes for several months, but my feet aren't completely happy in the front of the shoe. These shoes are nice looking and the sole and arch provides good support plus cushioning.

These Shoes Are Awesome!!!
I have big feet and am on my feet a lot at work. I have never bought the Ecco brand before, so I thought I would give it a shot. I am completely satisfied; these shoes are so comfortable right out of the box. They look like dress shoes for work, but feel like my Nike's which is exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend this shoe, it's a little pricey, but well worth the price considering the comfort the shoes give you all day.

Extremely comfortable walking dress shoe -
I walk four kilometers each day to and from the office and the only shoes that I have had that have held up for comfort and durability our my Eccos. I recently ordered two new pair while in New York for business. The look is excellent and I got some nice compliments when I showed up with the new pair. The fit was perfect, same size as my last. Excellent arch support and comfort. Worth every penny and glad that Zappos was able to get them to me on such short notice. Thank you for a job well done, very satisfied.

Ecco shoes in general rate 10 out of 10 - I have purchased 10 pair already, the last 8 from Zappos.com. These shoes are absolutely comfortable right out of the box and the quality speaks for itself. I have gotten multiple compliments. Also, let me restate: Zappos.com is a first rate internet merchant and I will be a customer for a long time. You can't go wrong with them.

Great shoes for working in midtown Manhattan -
This is my 4th pair of Eccos. These are a little dressier than my other 3 pairs, but fit in well with the business-casual dress code of my office. Going from home to the train and from the train to my office is about a 1 mile walking trip - 1 way. I wore these shoes and did that walk the day after receiving them and they required no break-in. Extremely comfy and great looking, too. Best worn with a thin sock as the top of my foot starts to hurt by the end of the day with a thicker sock. European sizes tend to run a full size larger than marked. I usually wear a men's 9 and had to get the 42s (8-8.5) in my Eccos.

Excellent cushioning -
I bought these because my joints were hurting from my old leather sole shoes pounding the pavement. These shoes have a very soft cushioned feel. Feels like wearing sneakers to work. Admittedly I have inserted Dr Scholls Tri-orthotic arch support which have contributed to some of this effect.

Still pleased with Ecco -
I've been buying ECCO for years. I have a large narrow foot and ECCO is the only brand I've found that consistently fits and prevents foot pain. I'm traveling more these days for work, and needed a slip on for getting through security. I tried 4 pair from various companies and had to come back to ECCO. They're more expensive than most but worth every penny.
