I bought these for my husband after he had been wearing uncomfortable shoes to work for a while. He says these are very comfortable and lightweight, too. He usually wears a 9 1/2 shoe size, and I got a size 43 for him in this shoe, which fits great.

Classy and comfortable. Overall a solid pair of shoes, but they run large. Consider ordering a size down. If you order the wrong size, no problem, Zappos makes it easy, sending you another pair the next day.

Good deal with the discount! Another pair of Ecco's, my favorite shoe. For me a tad less cushioning than my Seawalkers, but for the price, a keeper. I think I prefer the Ecco matte black leather over the shiny black look, but any pair of Ecco's is better than no pair. Incidentally, I found the comments regarding the odd sizing of the Austin Apron Toe's correct. I wear an Ecco 42's, but with this particular pair, the 41's were perfect. I wonder why that's the case with this particular shoe.

Nice, stiff leather that breaks in well. The insole is all leather, and is wearing smooth like a nice baseball glove. Four weeks in and the shine is still good as new. Unless they see the bottom of the shoe, no one will know the sole is rubber. Not as much cushioning as my previous Ecco dress shoes, but not uncomfortable either.

Great shoe - I now own four pairs of Ecco dress shoes and they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The Austin Apron Toe is no exception - great fit, light weight and easy to care for. Might run just a smidgen small but pretty close to true to size.

Additional Brand Information

ECCO began as a response to uncompromising footwear. More than 40 years ago in the small southern Jutland town of Bredebro, Denmark, Karl Toosbuy pioneered a revolution in footwear, choosing comfort over conformity. Tired of having his feet mold to his shoes, he charged that the foot should lead the shoe. A new type of footwear was born in ECCO shoes, crafted both by hand and "by heart".

ECCO doesn't compromise. Comfort, flexibility, Scandinavian design, and thriving innovation lead the way, shaping how ECCO builds men's shoes, women's shoes, and childrens' shoes.

Quality and craftsmanship make ECCO shoes famous and create loyal fans who prize their comfort and value. Choose ECCO shoes, sandals, and boots, like many, you may never choose to wear any other footwear. Comfort, without compromising trends or the times, makes ECCO shoes the right choice.

Not up to previous Ecco purchases - This is my third pair of Ecco dress shoes, and I must say they are not up to the quality of the first 2 I purchased. Took a week of wearing 10 hours a day to feel broken in. Quality feels and looks inferior to same style of shoe purchased a year ago.

Ecco quality – I have a pair of ecco wingtips and this is why I bought these. The sole and heel show little wear after several years of use and the shoe is just good quality. Comfortable, good leather and good looks. Both pair are a whole size smaller than I normally wear and still have lots of room.

Good shoe - These run a size large and are wide, but they fit my orthotics. I prefer traditionally built shoes (leather soles, etc), but these are comfortable and again fit with my orthotics. I usually wear an 11, but with these they were roomy at 44 (10-10.5).

Great looking, durable shoe - I had a similar pair of Eccos a couple of years ago that I wore almost every business day--for two years...many tradeshows, etc. They held up great! Time for a new pair, but I had to return to Ecco because they were great the first time around. Highly recommended.

Ecco Rocks! I am a recent Ecco convert. I love their shoes. They are slip on/out of the box comfortable. No break-in, good fit, good look, and they feel like gloves on my feet. Very nice. I do, however, think they could upgrade their styles a bit more. These are good ole standby designs, but a bit more stylish would draw in more customers.

Very nice shoe. I wear size men's 6.5D and this shoe is slightly larger overall. I am keeping the shoe as it is very difficult to find my shoe size.

Comfortable and Versatile - These reviews are valuable... I was able to order the correct size based on the other reviews. Right out of the box they are extremely comfortable. They can be worn with dress and casual clothes as well.

I just got these shoes yesterday and wore them to the office today. Got compliments from numerous co-workers on how sharp the shoes looked. But everyone else is right about the size of this shoe. It's one size bigger than other Eccos. I have 7 other pairs of Ecco shoes and I'm a 45 in every pair, including two other dress shoes very similar to this one. However the 45 in this style was way too big for me. The 44 fits perfectly. This shoe looks great, it's super light and flexible, and the leather is very high quality. I'm using this shoe to replace my Allen Edmonds which are too heavy, stiff and hot.

What happened? I am a loyal Ecco buyer however my initial order of 9 1/2 felt like 10 1/2 so I returned them and ordered a full size smaller. The length is ok but the fit is tight and almost unbearable to wear (my width is normal). Still will buy from Ecco but very dissatisfied with this purchase.

Nice but BIG - I have always worn a size 9 or 9 1/2 American size shoe and my last two Ecco's were size 42. Ecco for some reason has changed their sizing. The new 42 Austin Apron Toe Tie was miles too big and the reordered 41 fit just right. Curiously, the shoe inserts of my old 42 and my new 41 are exactly the same size. I don't know if this applies to ALL Ecco shoes but certainly to this pair. They are comfortable but I would rather have the round toe of yesteryear rather than the Apron Toe which looks a little old fashioned.

Very nice shoe - This is a very comfortable shoe, works well in business casual. I have only owned it a few weeks so I hope it lasts a long time.

Nice Shoe - Fits nicely. Looks great with a suit; however, sizing is a bit large. Order one 1/2 size smaller.
