Though not terribly hip or up to today's fashions, these shoes are perfect mid-level manager who spends time on his feet. You can wear a suit with them or go business casual. Totally great black shoes.

I am an airline pilot and bought this shoe to wear with my uniform. Like my last pair of Eccos, these are extremely comfortable. The cap-toe Atlanta looks more stylish but was too tight on my wide foot. The plain toe Atlanta is a bit less restrictive due to its Blucher construction. Great shoe -- could probably wear with USAF or CAP uniform.

First ECCO shoe I've owned. I'm very impressed with the shoe and Zappos service. The shoe was extremely comfortable from the moment I put it on, no break in period at all. It looks nice, a little plain but that's what I wanted.

Let me start with the positives, this shoe is amazing. It's comfortable and looks great with jeans, slacks or suit. If this shoe fits you, stop looking - it's the perfect shoe. I wanted a 'do it all shoe' and I wanted this to be the one. However, I have a sizing issue. 44's are too small and 45's are too big. I seem to fall between the two. Now, I was told I can put some padding or arch supports to make the 45's fit better, but I'm not sure I want to modify them. Shoes are an investment and you shouldn't skimp on them but I feel a shoe this expensive should fit right out of the box. If Ecco made half sizes this would be a no brainer for me. So, it's not an Ecco issue, it's a size of my feet issue. I might have to go with the Rockport Margin so I can get the correct size. It's not as stylish, but I know the fit will be perfect.

This is my 3rd pair of Ecco's. While I have been satisfied overall with Ecco in general, I'm a little disappointed with this pair construction-wise. The tongue has begun to separate from the outer leather and now presents a little gap or tear. There isn't enough material to repair without adding a piece of leather reinforcement. I take care of my shoes so I'm surprised that this pair hasn't held up and can't be repaired. (I asked at my favorite old school shoe repair store- no can do.) Other than the construction concern I really like the comfort and style. Sorry Ecco, 4 stars on this one.

Great shoes right from the box. No break-in and as I wear them they mold to my feet and feel even better. I wear a 9.5 and Ecco usually runs a little big. These are almost a true fit.

There is no more comfortable shoe than Ecco for my use. The Atlanta has a rounded toe rather that a square one as in my Berlin model pair so they feel a little tighter at the front but not uncomfortably so. I don't know if my feet are getting bigger by flattening out a bit but, if not, the shoes tend to feel half to a full size smaller than marked assuming Zappos' Euro to US size translator is correct. Ecco shoes wear very well somewhat mitigating the inability to replace the soles. Never shiny as in a true dress shoe, they nevertheless seem to improve in looks over time. I am greatly satisfied with the product and will continue to recommend and buy from Zappos for their truly outstanding customer service, shipping and return policies. Top notch. Period.

I've owned two pairs of similarly styled Ecco shoes for the past several years. They were great shoes until the soles started splitting apart. Order a pair of these in the same size and they are larger then the others, probably by a half size. Very uncomfortable because of bunched up leather near the laces. Unfortunately, the quality is terrible compared to the older ones. Cheap looking leather, much lower grade lining, no longer made in Europe. Sent them back and will find something that is better quality. Looks like another company living off of a past reputation.

I like the style of my Ecco shoes, but I have not been impressed with the durability or fit lately. My last two pair both had the same issue, the rubber sole split after just a couple years. They were comfortable, but I wished they lasted longer. I ordered two new pairs in the exact same size, but the new shoes feel loose. Not too happy with Ecco right now.

I bought my husband 4 pairs of shoes so he could pick out a pair or two for Christmas. Bought Ecco Turn GTX Tie in black and Ecco Atlanta Plain Toe Tie in brown. Both as casual/dress shoes. Also bought Ecco Atlanta wing tip tie in black and another pair in walnut (very pretty classy color). Was not familiar with the sizing of this company. Husband wears size 12, so I chose the size 46 (12-12.5). Gave them to him before Christmas in case I needed to exchange or return the ones he didn't like. Well...needless to say...he loved them all and wanted to keep them all! So he received 4 pairs for Christmas instead of 1 or 2. If he's happy, I'm happy...just my wallet isn't now.

This shoe reminds me of the Ecco New City Light model I purchased several years ago. Very comfortable and lightweight. No break-in period required. The "plain toe" style is rather plain but makes up for it in comfort.

I bought these for my brother for Christmas and he loved them. He had this same shoe before and it lasted 10 years. Size was very accurate. The heel is rubber which is great for comfort. The shoe was good looking, but not as shiny as the picture. Actually not shiny at all, but still very good looking. As always Zappos is as fast as lightening.

Very soft, but runs a full size too big. I wear an 8, but the 42 size was much too big. Had to return for a smaller size. Still a great shoe!

I've owned 3 pairs of Ecco oxfords, all of which had very rapid heel wear. The remainder of the shoe is quite durable, but the heel is soft and wears quickly.
