Eastland Reviews
These shoes are nice looking, quiet and comfortable. Based on other reviews I ordered half size smaller than normal and that was just right.
These are great boots. I have a pair in black and now tan. They are true to size and width, but the foot bed is not very well cushioned - I added an insert and they are perfect. I highly recommend this shoe/boot.
Very cute on with pants and jeans. Comfy but if you need more arch support, there is very little in this shoe.
I have a broad, deep foot which requires depth at the ball area and width at the toes. Therefore I must wear shoes with moccasin toes. These are often hard to find. I also like cushion under the foot. These shoes have all these qualities. My only complaint is that I would prefer that the leather be somewhat more pliable.
This is a decent-looking oxford with a thick sole that provides very little cushioning or comfort. The shoe has aggressive tread, but the sole is so hard and almost plastic-like that it slips on wet surfaces. The toe-box is a bit narrow for the style, so be prepared to wear thin socks.
These shoes are not the kind you just slip into, or just slip off. I bought a shoehorn for $1.50 and that made it much easier to put them on. Once they're on, they're comfy and they look good with my jeans.
These shoes are so comfortable. I have tried on many Sperrys before, but I was not pleased with them. These are fantastic! I highly recommend these!
I love the style of this shoe and found it to be comfortable, but I wish that they were more sturdily constructed. I bought these to wear as walking shoes on a trip to Vietnam. On my second day of wearing them in lightly humid (by no means muggy or wet) urban conditions, the body of the shoe started to separate from the sole, particularly around the toe area. The shoes were still wearable and I continued to use them throughout the trip, but they now let in moisture when I eventually did venture to wet and rainy areas. I find it hard to believe the weather would have caused the glue on the shoes to fail so early on, since I was simply walking around a city in the non-rainy season, so perhaps I just got a lemon pair. If I hadn't been so far from home, I would have exchanged them immediately when the sole started separating - as it is, I have a pair of well-worn shoes that were good enough for their purpose, but not great. I wear a size 9 pretty consistently, ordered the 8.5 in these, and they fit comfortably after a small amount of breaking-in.
These are pretty awesome. They are a perfect balance between rugged and sleek. The slightly tapered toe and heel give the look of a cowboy boot but without the fashion-victim vibe. The leather is soft and flexible, the inside well-padded without being bulky. They were comfortable right out of the box. Flexible forefoot and surprisingly lightweight. The heel clomps a bit across the floor; it's harder than I expected but not really a detriment. I'd say the sizing is true; they feel a bit tight with thick socks but I suspect they will quickly loosen up, and anyway I usually wear a mid-weight or lightweight sock. Arch was unobtrusive and that's the way I like it. The only possible drawback is the sole is fairly smooth. It has a lightly pebbled texture so you won't be sliding on carpet, but I suspect it will be fairly useless on ice or snow.
I liked that this shoe had a shorter toe box than most boat shoes. I was hoping it would be a little more feminine, but the shoe is extremely bulky looking. They are a bit "geriatric" looking so I sent them back. They are very thick and bulky. That said, they were also very comfortable. Just not the right look for someone young like myself.
I was really excited about these shoes. They are exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the fit is narrow, even with thin socks. I am returning them.
I love these! I wear 6 1/2 and usually buy 7 but I followed other reviewers' advice and I bought 6 1/2 because they run a little big. The fit great! Plan to buy another pair.
I wore out my first pair and like them so, that I bought my second pair. Overall, a good shoe. The sides come up a little higher than most shoes. I like that because I feel that it gives my feet better support.
Great shoes! Very nice leather upper and a gum sole to boot. This is a very, very well made shoe. So nice I have them in black and brown.
I love these shoes! They are a little hard to get on the first time (I wish I owned a shoehorn) but they are very comfortable to walk in.
These shoes do require a bit of breaking in and took me about a week to be able to wear them for a full day comfortably. They also run small, but stretch over time. After having them for a month now, it's just about the only thing I wear. They do scuff very easily, which I don't mind as I like the roughed up look. Just don't get attached to the shiny thing you get.
These are fine -- they're a little better looking than the average clog -- but after more than a few hours of standing, they kill the ball of my heel.
I love the look of this shoe. Like other reviewers, I, too, found this shoe to be quite comfortable when I first put it on, especially for a heeled shoe. I have short legs and often need a bit of a heel to keep my pantlegs from dragging on the ground and this shoe did the trick without making it feel like I was wearing a heel. However, unlike others, I found the comfort level go way down on this shoe by the end of the day. After a long day of teaching, my feet feel very fatigued and I can't wait to get them off. Also, like another reviewer, I was dismayed to find that this shoe lets in water, even in a light rain, due to the stitching around the sole. Nothing like cold, wet toes to ruin your day. From now on, it's only short (dry) trips around town for these shoes.
