Eagle Creek® was born in the San Jacinto Mountains of California where Steve and Nona Barker ran a retail store called Mountain People and sewed custom mountain packs. In 1975, they turned their energy full-time to pack manufacturing and the name Eagle Creek was chosen. Since its beginning, innovation, durability, and craftsmanship have been an integral part of the brand's DNA. Eagle Creek was first to market with the concept of "adventure travel" and has always made gear for active adventurous souls. Their mission was to prove that travel didn't have to be one of the leading causes of chronic lower back pain; that you could visit remote parts of the world without giving up every bastion of civilization; and that all of this could be fun.
