Though I haven't purchased my boots from amazon or Zappos, here I am trying to review this boots and not the seller. I bought my boots from the local store in Y2006 at price in the same range as amazon.com. In the past I have used boots with wooden sole and unfortunately they wear out in year or two time frame. Durango shoes appealed me as it was having rubber sole which lasted very well well for me. I have changed the sole once after 3 years of use in Y2009 and since then they are running fine. Other than soul everything is just like a new boots. As you might imagine, I am quite satisfied to have boots that go on and on even after 5Y or usage. Only short coming of these boots is that I couldn't get in 2E width. Also size is 1/2 to 1 point smaller than I generally need. So if you need to purchase one, try to go for 1/2 or 1 size larger.

Zappos is the only company I've ever endorsed in my life. Their customer service is the best. Until recently I was a brick and mortar holdout but my experiences with Zappos has changed that. I love my new boots too. They felt good as soon as I put them on. In my case I wear a size 9 to 9 and a half. I was advised to go with a size 9 and allow them to conform to my foot. That advice has worked well for me.

Got the boots in the mail yesterday and I got them 1/2 bigger than my normal size. They fit and look great. Terrific deal from Zappos. I just returned from Colorado and Wyoming and could not find a western boot to fit me anywhere. These are perfect.

Great Value - This boot is good looking, well made and very comfortable. The inside lining appears to be soft leather and the zipper is rugged and trouble-free. A great all around boot for everyday wear.

No Other Brand Will Do - I discovered this brand about ten years ago. Since then, I wear no other brand (or style). And about Zappo's shipping, Excellent!!!

Side zip boots - Quality is high. Value is outstanding. Comfort is very good. Since this was my first on-line boot purchase, I took a foot Measurement at a store. I bought the boots in my size / width. Too narrow. Returned the boots for wider style. Fit is now great. Minor complaint: This is my first 7" boot. I would prefer they were 9" as my pant leg comes right up to the top edge of the boot when sitting.

7" zipper black boots - Try are great. I have a wide foot and at first, I thought they were going to be too narrow. But I worked them on and wore them for an hour or so. They were confortable. I have been wearing they all day almost every day sinec then. They are very confortable and look great.

Pinches the Inches- I bought this GREAT-LOOKING city-slicker cowboy boot for my husband in his true shoe size 9M. When we received the boot and he tried it on, the width and length were too short. However, he liked the look of this boot so much; I took a chance and reordered it in a 10W, a FULL size and width larger! I got the LAST PAIR in stock, so this boot is popular. My husband LOVES the look and will "put up" with the slightly longer length because the width is perfect!

Good looking boot - I was looking for an all-around western boot with the convenience and comfort of a low shaft with a side zipper. I had a pair of Florsheims, that I really liked, but are no longer made. This style is hard to find now. The Durango 820 is a good looking all-around and comes close to my old boot. The things I really miss, though, are a slightly taller shaft with a western cut to it. My old boots had these features which made them look a lot better if the tops get exposed. This tends to happen easily with the Durango, since it is a little too short, and when it happens the top looks like it is just plain cut off.
