I had high hopes for these boots, but I don't like the style at all. The leather is nice and they are made well but that's all I like. Too bad. First of all they have too narrow of an opening for a pull on boot. And I have a skinny foot! Second they make my feet look huge! I normally wear a 7.5 but always order an 8 in boots. That was a mistake because they are too big. But not near as big as they look on my feet. My search continues.

I tried on several mid-calf boots before I settled on these. I am a 7 1/2 or 38 and ordered the 7 1/2. If I didn't use inserts I'd order 1/2 size down. The circumference around the top is good enough to get my foot in but doesn't look huge around my calf - I have narrow calves so this can be pretty difficult for me. There is still enough room to tuck in jeans. There is no arch support, but I use inserts anyway. The leather is OK - not as nice as some of the more expensive boots, but sufficient for the style. I think these are a great casual boot, with enough interest without being crazy with a bunch of buckles and straps.

Great boot and nice price! Felt half size large but works for winter months and heavy socks.

I was very disappointed with these boots. I ordered these and the Zigi Girl Tryst in black at the same time...the Zigi boots were delivered within 3 days and I had to wait over a week to receive these. When I opened the box I was immediately disappointed with the boots, I didn't get that freshly oiled leather smell like I got with the Zigi Girl, Frye Veronica Shortie, and many others that I own. The leather is cheap looking and I began checking edges and seams to make sure that they were real leather because they just didn't look, smell or feel like the real thing. I am still not convinced that Durango is really making these using the real deal. Of course the cardboard inserts state that they are real leather and have proper care instructions printed on them, but I am not convinced. I decided to go ahead and try them on, hoping that they would look better on my feet than they did in my hands. This was PURE TORTURE! The shafts are narrow and stiff so I had to keep my foot completely pointed the entire time I was working them into the boot and pulling up. I fell over in my kitchen twice and decided to try sitting on the stairs so that I could work the boots onto my foot and then step into them while holding the hand rail and twisting my foot into place in the boots. My feet seized up into cramps putting them on and once I got them on and started walking around my house they didn't feel any better since there is little to no arch and foot support in the boots themselves. Don't even get me started on the "padded" lining inside these boots...cheap, cheap, cheap nylon padding like the inside of a bad training bra! Again, all the leather boots of high quality that I own do not have or need lining since the leather is the best quality and very supple to the touch. I have already printed my return label and will be dropping these boots off at the UPS store by my office tomorrow morning.
I'd also recommend: Zigi Girl and Frye are similar in style but of higher quality
