LOVE MY TOASTER! LOVE THE COLOR! Nostalgic design and color that really lifts the look of my kitchen and morning coffee & toast time. Bought it online in the US and because I am Canadian there was a big problem with the billing address being Canadain and last check phone call in the order process in that I was not home to answer the phone because I was traveling in the US. I dealt with this and they apologized. Otherwise Zappos is a friendly company and thankfully I did eventually get my terrific toaster at a US mailing address.

Love Zappos, love my Dualit! With all the money I have spent on toasters and toaster ovens in the past few years, I would have been happier with the Dualit. It looks great, works quickly, great quality and easy to clean. You won't be disappointed if you buy this toaster!
This toaster is amazing! Toasts without the exposed burners. You can use ToastIt bags and do PB&J without the mess...or grilled cheese with or without meats..add tomato or other veggies...truly wonderful flavorful and the toaster can actually warm up your egg rolls...endless possibilities!

This is a wonderful toaster. We've had one for years but recently gave that one to our daughter. We bought this one as as replacement. Slots are wider than our original one to accommodate bagels. Dualit is a wonderful company. Years ago, I stuck a fork into the toaster to get something out and burned up one of the burners. I called Dualit and then sent a replacement part-can't remember if there was a charge or not but anyway it was an easy repair. This is the last toaster you will ever need to buy.

This toaster is efficient, proficient, and good looking. There are many choices to make toast light or dark and to do one piece or 4. I love it. We had the same make and style previous for about 15 years. Amazing to have a toaster so long. I recommend.

I still have mine after 25 years. It still works. I'm upgrading to a 4 slice now, but the one I have was handed down to me from my dad. So, if you like your toast crisp on the outside and soft on the inside this toaster has been one of the only ones that I found that makes my toast the way I like it.

Had this a little over a year and timer broke. If it were not for my fire alarm, it would have burned my hundred and ten year old house down. Toaster is well taken care of and is like new but it must go before it takes my house. Waste of money.

We have owned this toaster for 16 years and it works perfectly even today. Worth every penny and a great conversation piece.

I love my toaster I went through many other cheap toasters and they do not last. I love how it will keep toast warm until I am ready, for better more even toasting. I put my bread upside down making a huge difference.
Buyer beware! I loved the look of this toaster and believed the hype that it was a long-lasting toaster. Wrong. At about 3 years it died. First the one side, then the other. There is no place to have it repaired in the USA, and they do not stand by their product.

Toaster works great, I love that its set on a timer but you can manually check the toast to get the exact amount of toasting you want. It's not made in China like most other toasters and it shows. I suspect this will be the last toaster we own...

We bought this toaster for our son and his wife as a Christmas present. They have said for a number of years they would like one and wanted to know where we bought it. So we decided to buy this toaster for them since we have had one for over ten years and it never fails to make excellent toast. It's very functional in that it can handle different size breads including bagels. Adjustments are easy to get just the right amount of browning. It is expensive but you get what you pay for and this toaster will last for years.

I think this is a spectacular toaster. I think equally as good about Zappos as a supplier (1 day turnaround, free shipping; 1 year warranty). It can truly create dark brown toast if this is your preference.
I love this toaster but when the cord stopped working (and the toaster is out of warranty) I went to their website and found this info: Please return the appliance to the store or retailer where purchased. We do not have any listed off-site recommended repair agents at present. If your appliance fails to operate properly, while in use under normal household conditions and within the warranty period, please return the appliance to the store or retailer where purchased. Some retailers may offer a different warranty period to the standard, please check with your retailer for details. We do have a Dualit repairs service for UK customers only. You can have the product sent in to us, boxed up with a brief description of the problem, your contact details, a return address and a copy of proof of purchase. Upon examination, if a fault is found and the item is not within warranty, a quote will be sent out for the cost of repair. Please send to the following address: Repairs Department, Dualit Ltd, County Oak Way, Crawley, West Sussex RH11 7ST Before you send any item to us, we suggest that you contact Dualit Customer Service on 01293 652 500, to discuss the nature of the fault.

This is a great looking toaster that I got when we remodeled our mid century modern kitchen. So far (one month old) it is working great. It toasts evenly. I like the feature that I have to lift the lever to pop up the toast, it helps to keep the toast warm. I wish the slots were just a bit wider, I had trouble getting a really large bagel in, but most things seem to fit fine. Some of the other reviews said it took a long time to heat up first use in the morning, but I have found most toasters are like that and don't consider that a problem. But I did knock off one star for slot size, could be a problem for some people.
I researched immersion blenders for a week - all of them. Was ready to buy the Bamix for $130 (+tax = $140) at Williams Sonoma when I zeroed in on this Dualit (English) or the LeEquip (French). Both have high power and 9k-16k RPM. If the RPM are not mentioned, don't go there unless you don't need power. I need to mix cottage cheese with flax oil. Neither the $50 Kitchenaid or Cuisinart could do the job. The Bamix is great, but the Dualit at this price works just as well. Easy stick on and off, not so high as to give arm aches, pretty lightweight, easy cleanup. It even has a turbo button which I haven't needed. Awesome item. Recommend its purchase.
Everyone who walks into our home is drawn to this toaster due to its retro and commercial design. This is the Rolls Royce of toasters. Follow the operating instructions and you'll have excellent even toast, each and every time. I've had one for several years and when I needed to get replacement parts, I had absolutely no trouble getting them from service center in NJ USA. They were professional and extremely helpful. The toaster is definitely worth the investment and we're exceptionally satisfied with its performance and durability. This would apply to any color in two or four slot versions.
I would not recommend this toaster. Any parts or repair are only available for UK residents! It is not worth the steep price tag. The timer on ours started flaking out after a year and cannot get it repaired. We have to unplug it from the wall or it will not shut off. If we keep using this toaster we will burn down the house.

Dualit® was born out of one man's passion for invention, well-engineered products, and hard graft. Max Gort-Barten was a German-born entrepreneur who found himself in England - and therefore signed up to the British army - just as the second World War broke out. When the war was over he bought a small factory in Camberwell in the absolute certainty that he would utilize his engineering skills and creativity to manufacture products. He had several early ideas, including the Dual-Light electric fire from which Dualit took its name, but it was a patented toaster that caught people's attention.
