These tactical socks are pretty fantastic. They are not the very top of the heap as far as insulating goes, but they are definitely warmer than their thickness would suggest. Also, they really do keep your feet drier than any thicker woolly sock could. The best warmth for the least bulk. They come up to just below the knee. Pricey, but worth it.

My husband loves these socks so I am ordering another 4 pair. He is a fisherman in the Bering Sea for king and opilio crab and finding the best for extreme cold weather is a must and these socks are the best and his favorite and he told me I did good. FYI, first review I have ever written!
