Finally! An extra Wide Sandal - I have been looking all over for an extra wide sandal. Normally, I wear a size 12, 4 E. Anyone who has wide feet can appreciate how hard it is to find sandals for my wide feet, especially in a fisherman's style. This sandal comes in size 12, 4E and has an extra deep and wide toe box. The two cushioned insert(s) that come with the sandal can be removed to reveal a flat foot bed, or used in combination with orthotics to customize the fit to your foot type and comfort. This was perfect for my prescription orthotics inserts. The quality of the sandal was excellent. This sandal is extremely well made with very secure straps and a well-made rubberized sole. There is an adjustable Velcro strap on the side and another for the heel to allow adjustments in different directions. The sizes run generous. In fact, this was the first time I had to go down a full size to a size 11, 4E. I highly recommend this sandal to anyone with problem feet, especially if you have extra wide feet.

Works well with custom orthotics - The special plus's are the steel shank, adjustable narrow heel, spacious toe box, and double inserts for orthotics and size adjustments. It's comfortable and good looking. I placed a medial wedge (Barton's) under the heel and arch of my orthotics to help compensate for the reduced support of a sandal for pronation.

The perfect shoe. My husband wears a 12EEEE shoe. It's hard to find "stylish" shoes at that size. These were perfect and he loves them.

Color not so rich, tongue not padded - The color is not as rich as the pictures. More of a flat mocha brown and not as deep, rich or attractive as pictures. The tongue is not padded and is just leather. Only the very top back of the heel seems to have any padding. They will need a little wear/use as the leather of the tongue is not extremely comfortable. Expected a little bit more for price.

These shoes are of great quality and workmanship. True to size and are very attractive. They require a bit of a break in period, but otherwise am very satisfied. LOVE SHOPPING AT ZAPPOS!!! Very prompt service, great response when exchanges are needed etc

Looks great, but didn't feel great. I bought these sandals for my son and at first they seem fine, but after the whole day went by he had a few blisters on top of his foot. Since he used them I didn't think I could return them so I got stuck with shoes my son never got to benefit from. They run smaller and aren't as wide as they say it is.

Terrific shoe. My husband's foot is wide and the 6E in Drews fit him much better than the 5E in Propets. We did try to go down a size just for a fit check and Drews are indeed right on size. This is a very comfortable sandal, true to size and the width is dead-on and generous. They fit his orthotic perfectly leaving lots of room in the toe box. The brown is an especially rich colour and the black is true black. Fit wonderfully right out of the box, as any shoe should. There should never need to be any break-in time for any shoe one wants to purchase, shoes either fit or they don't!

My ex-wife ordered these shoes for me as I usually have a very hard time finding shoe to fit my wide feet. I am so incredibly pleased with the shoes and their comfort level. She is very pleased with the level of service from Zappos and would certainly use them again.

The shoes arrived 3 days after I placed the order. I have a wide foot (3E) with a high instep so I ordered the 4W. The shoe is certainly true to width. The instep is slightly tight, but that will loosen out soon with a little wear. The shoes are exactly as they appear in the photo. Not my favorite color of brown leather, but it will be OK. They look better on you than by themselves. Comfort is fine, as it should be for this price.

I was surprised that they had my size. 12.5 seems to be unusual. These fit like a glove with a little room in the toe area. Sturdy shoe with a solid sole.

The most comfortable (and expensive) shoe I have ever owned. My feet perspire a lot and these minimize that problem. Easy to put on and easy to walk in for my 80 year old feet with high arches.
Brands I'd also recommend: Hush Puppies and New Balance
