Flattering fit. Pretty colors. According to the size chart, I should have ordered a small, but I got a medium which was perfect. I'm 5'6" and 130-ish pounds and normally wear a medium in shirts/tops. Be aware that the fabric is pretty thin.

I'm in my twenties and want my clothes to be comfortable but also look stylish, so I've never tried wearing Merrell clothing before. But I've been having trouble finding summery dresses that aren't super short and flimsy, so I decided to get over my bias and try some brands I don't typically think of as "stylish." This dress surprised me by being really flattering! It has a slight A-line shape that skims the waist the perfect amount without being too loose or too tight, and the length is neither "super short" nor long enough to make me feel like I'm dressing older than my age. However, I wasn't a fan of the ikat pattern. I'm returning it, but would be open to trying this dress in a solid color. I'm glad I reached outside my comfort zone to find some new possibilities!

This dress looks so cute in the photo, but in person it looks more like overalls to me. It's fitted in the bust, but pretty loose in the waist and hips. Overall it seems to be well made, but I can't get over looking like I'm wearing overalls with no shirt on underneath. Returning.
