This is my first pair of Docs. They are really well-made and I love this color they call grey savannah. It's a soft brown to me. The choice of laces that the boots come with is genius and can satisfy whatever mood you're rockin' that day. Haven't worn them that much so far, but they don't seem to need any breaking in. Wish they were a smidge wider, but otherwise boot perfection. Quick, order a pair!

I tried these on at the store, with no intentions of buying them. I just forgot what Doc's felt like, and I recently started riding a motorcycle, so needed to get a pair of boot, I was going for the standard 20 eyes. But these cuties caught my eye. They were so comfortable, already broken in feel of an old favorite boot, seemed to fit right to my foot. I haven't taken them off since, I have worn them for 2 weeks straight, I fold them down for a cute playful look at work, and lace them up for riding.

Most people say these do not need breaking in but mine did. The boot shaft was very stiff. They fit great and look great! I have received so many compliments already. I have a wide calf and I can still tie them all the way up, but I prefer it halfway. They look way dirtier than in the picture but you can rub off the dirt and make them look customized.

I absolutely love these boots. They look good with skinny jeans and also under bootcut pants. They are so comfortable, it's as if you're wearing tennis shoes. I ordered my regular size, and they seemed a bit roomy in the toe but that just leaves room for nice, warm socks inside. I tend to have a bit wider feet typically, but I didn't find them to be too narrow like some of the other reviewers had said.

Love these boots! Very cute! The only thing I didn't like was that there isn't a zipper...you have to tie them up! Other than that they were perfect!

I have always wanted a pair of Dr. Martens and decided to finally bite the bullet. I bought the brown massai and I love the color along the floral design on the inside. There is a white powder residue on the boots but it wipes off with a soft cloth. They also come with ribbon and regular lace. I prefer the ribbon because it makes the boots look really girly! I read previous reviews about these boots being larger than normal in the toe area. I bought my usual size, UK 7 (US 9) and found them to fit well. Very comfortable to me. Guess I just have really big feet! Anyways, I love these boots and can't wait for the leather to soften so I can roll them down. Oh, and thank you Zappos for delivering them the day after I placed my order.

These are super rad! They are the best of both worlds: edgy army boot with a soft feminine touch. I have gotten so many complements on these boots - especially the silk ribbon. They are really comfortable and versatile. I have worn them over jeans, under jeans, with a dress, skirt, and they would probably even look good with the right shorts! And to top it all off, Zappos is awesome - I received these two days after I ordered them with free shipping. I definitely recommend these boots!

Alas, I have the boots I've waited three years for! These are my 4th pair of Docs and I have to say, I love these the most (probably because I had to wait for them). I love the satin laces, but I'm worried that they may not last an entire season (good thing there's a regular pair in the box too). I love the pairing of the rugged with the feminine. The antiqued finish is divine (I got the brown massai) and is even better and deeper once you wipe off the excess wax. One caution: I bought my normal size UK7 (US9) and they were monstrously huge and I had to exchange for a size smaller (no half sizes). These are a bit stiff, as usual, but in classic Doc style, they'll soften with wear and will end up being my favorite pair ever!

I usually wear an 8-9 in US sizing, so I first bought a UK 7. However, I found them too roomy in the ankle/heel area. I replaced them with a size 7 which at first seemed too snug in the toes, but now I've been wearing them for a couple days and they've stretched out and fit perfectly. The white powder on the Maasai colors rubs off and so far they seem pretty lightweight and offer good support... But then, I have really flat feet... I think these boots will be really durable and easy to dress up or down. Side note: I have big feet for my height and with the right size these boots don't make my feet look huge.

I was really excited about these boots. I missed purchasing them the first time around and was excited they became available again. I love them, like all my Docs. They don't really require any "breaking in" as the leather is pretty soft already. They're nice looking boots and I actually like the satin laces. There are only two (very minor) issues that I have with the boots to include the fact that the toes scuff easily (and I'm clumsy so it only took me about 30 minutes to scuff one of them) and there is no side zipper for easy removal. Still, I really like the look so overall I'm really happy with the boots and can't wait to wear them again.

Awesome boots. Comfortable the first time I put them on. They came with the white "waxy residue" on them - there is a little thing on the laces that explains what it is and it comes off if you wipe them with a clean cloth. I left a little on around the seams but took the majority off. They look great and feel great. True to size - I got a size 11.

I love these boots! They are super cool with all the extra details and a great fit for women with skinny legs. I'm a size 7 and decided to order a Euro4 due to Euro5 not being available. I'm stretching them with a double pair of socks and they are feeling great after 30 minutes. I'm so thrilled to have these. They look great with leggings and skirts. Yay! Another favorite pair of boots in my sweet collection!

First, I have to commend Zappos on their truly superior customer service. I ordered my boots to be shipped via regular UPS Ground, received a free shipping upgrade from Zappos, and got my boots delivered the next evening! I could not be more pleased with the boots as well. These are my fourth pair of Doc Martens, and they are fantastic. Great leather, cute satin laces, beautiful boots overall. A few notes: 1. These boots feel a half size larger than marked (which worked for me, since I had to order a half size down due to availability). 2. The satin laces are very cute, but they do make it a bit difficult to get the boots off and on, since they are a little bulky for the eyelets (although the eyelets are bigger than typical Docs). Regular black laces are also included with the boots. 3. Although a lot of the reviews reference a pink tartan lining containing wool, mine are lined with a faded Union Jack pattern printed on a cotton canvas-type material. 4. Although the product description states that the buckle on the back is "non-functioning," this is not true. You can fold down the tops of the boots to show the lining, and buckle the back strap to keep them in place. The eyelets also correspond when folded so you can lace them properly. Pretty cool! Overall, totally happy and satisfied, both with this product and with Zappos. I'll be shopping here again!

Awesome - This boot is amazing. I love the look. The only down side is I wish they would make half sizes... but it’s not a big deal. They felt good right out of the box. The only thing I noticed was some discomfort on the back of my ankle but that went away after a couple days. Definitely recommend this boot.

Thinner than I expected, but really warm and resists water/snow really well. I was afraid that it wouldn’t fit my calves, but the stretchy panel in the back works wonders. The vine design though isn’t that easily noticed - it took a few moments before a friend realized they weren’t completely black.

Awesome boots! Upon opening the box, it was instant love - the smell of the leather, the luxurious satin laces, all the unique details! I was worried about the sizing because of other people's reviews, but I went with my instinct and ordered the size that was my US equivalent (I wear a 7.5-8, so I ordered the UK 6). Perfect fit! The width is slightly narrower than other Docs I've worn, but that's a good thing as I've always thought they were too wide! The leather is really soft and the interior tartan print is so cute, which is actually pink (I thought it looked red in the photos). They fit like a glove, seem very comfortable, and will look great with everything! I gather my love for these boots will not diminish at all. GET THESE BOOTS!

First Doc Martens and best boots I own! I can't believe I've waited all this time to get Dr. Martens. I LOVE them! This style is so comfortable, the leather is soft; they lace up very easily and even though the laces are a fat ribbon, they never untie! Only wish they came in half sizes, the size 6 is a tiny bit large on me.
