I bought a pair of Ramsey, and I took them out of the box, and on first lace up the leather that holds one of the 6 "D" rings pulled out. I thought this was an aberration and wore them the next day while waiting on the replacement pair from Zappos. It's only 8 am, and two more rings have torn out. I'm going to return these and the replacements as soon as they arrive. Where's the Dr. Martens quality?
Brands I'd also recommend: Well, none at the moment as TUK is not UK

Was too big. The leather wasn't super flexible and the tongue rubbed my ankle. The rubber sole was thick and cushy though.

These are awesome! I have never owned such a comfortable pair of Docs before. I was preparing for an excruciating break-in period, but they are sturdy yet comfortable. I love the way the white pops on the black, and I get compliments all the time on these shoes. The look of a creeper with the quality of a Doc Marten shoe -- what could be better?
