Great boot. Durable, look great, make me taller. Tucking the pants in really gives a military feel which is perfect, since that was what I was going for. Over the boot looks good too. Very comfortable and very pleased.

Even though the woman's sizing is translated these boots are definitely made for a man's foot. They are too big, even at the smaller end of the woman's sizes. I'm returning for a woman's boot.

I am a hairdresser and am on my feet anywhere from 8 to 12 hours a day, and have searched for years for a comfortable and stylish shoe. These are the most amazing, comfortable shoes I have ever worn! There was no sucky break-in period; they were comfortable the minute I put them on! The leather is soft and flexible, not stiff like new Dr Martens usually are. I want to buy a second pair because I'm afraid this style will be discontinued by the time this pair are finally dead and gone! I never want to wear any other shoe besides this one! And Zappos, thanks for the speedy delivery! I will definitely shop with you in the future!

I have been looking on the Zappos site for awhile looking for the boot that had what I refer to as the look. The way boots are supposed to look. That classic/vintage boot look. On top of the way they look, they are also extremely comfortable! If you like what you see, than go ahead and buy them already. As always, Zappos service could not have been better. This where I buy all my shoes and have for a couple years now.

Great boots. The toe cap adds a pretty cool detail. I bought these to wear with a kilt, but now I’m just wearing them all the time- jeans or khakis at work. My feet are really wide EEE, so I bought these 1/2 size larger and they worked out great. Also have a high instep, too. Love Zappos- I don’t buy shoes in stores anymore!

Very comfortable boot! The look is, I would say, in between old fashioned and modern traditional. It works perfectly for me as business casual. Also, I think the insole is non-removable. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: Very short break in time (only a few hours); comfortable; easy take on and off; can wear with jeans and with business casual; easy maintenance; good ankle support. Cons: "Good" but not the best ankle support (I think 1490 is better); moderate arch support.

Brands I'd also recommend: I only wear Dr. Martens.

This was exactly what I was looking for. One of the most comfortable boots I own. And I didn't have to endure the painful "breaking in" stage. It still has the original Dr. Martens look to them, but with a bit more detailed, updated look. Love them!

I love these boots--the\'re the most comfortable pair of Martens I've ever owned. The leather is soft and flexible--no break-in period. And the soles aren't super thick like most other Martens you'll find, but that doesn't take away from the comfort. One feature of these boots that I REALLY appreciate is the loop on the tongue for your laces to pass through, to keep the tongue from slipping down to the side of your foot through the day--I have had to fabricate my own tongue loop on Martens in the past, but they took all things into consideration when they constructed these boots. As far as Zappos goes, I'll always order mine and my family's footwear from Zappos--you can't beat their customer service, return policy and the speed of their shipping!

I love my new boots! They look great and I love the style. The toe cap and heel are polished and solid, yet the upper boot is very soft leather and very comfortable. I was able to wear them the first day with no discomfort which amazed me. They are men’s boots so you ladies with narrow feet may find them too wide... for me they are perfect. Wonderful service from Zappos... I am already planning a collection of great boots.

The 3rd time I wore them was on a 4 mile hike through rocks and desert. Granted, they got scuffed up, but that only adds to the vintage look. They are extremely comfortable, and keep my feet surprisingly cool (even in the desert). They are slightly big for my feet, I wish that a US 10.5 was available, but they are fine with thick socks. My size 11 Keens fit fine, so these are sized a little bigger.

After 10 years in the US Army, I am very particular about my foot gear. After walking around the house about two weeks the boots were a great fit. They just needed broken in a little. I wanted a comfortable boot for walking and riding a motorcycle. Sadly most motorcycle boots are not designed well for walking. You can have the best of both worlds with this boot.

It took a little longer than I expected to receive my shoes, but once I did, I put them on and haven\'t taken them off. After about three weeks of wearing them every day some of the threading on the in-sleeve is starting to come undone and I\'ve worn holes in the backs of my heals, but not in the shoes. other than breaking them in my feet haven\'t hurt. I recommend thick socks and a beard for these shoes and perhaps a hat.

I bought these because I was searching for a fashionable fall/winter boot that would fit my new wide post-pregnancy feet! I don't think of Doc Martens as feminine, and these aren't; however, they have a tailored and stylish look and the two-toned leather is very striking. They fit really well and though I know they will need to be broken in, they're pretty comfy to start (which was not the experience I had with Frye boots, the other brand I tried). These would be cute with a skirt, and will work well under jeans/pants. Highly recommend. I bought two sizes smaller, eg; for a women's 10, buy a men's 8. I have big and wide feet, and doing the sizing that way worked out perfectly!

I love these boots. Now. Unfortunately the weather in the Bay Area has been so hot lately that wearing boots has been out of the question. But I have been breaking these puppies in at home and getting them ready for the rain. If we get any. These have got to be some of the most handsome looking boots I've ever seen or purchased for that matter. Zappos is the best. Got these in about a day, next day I ordered the next size up to see which fit best. Got those in about one day. Returned the larger pair and all at no cost to me. What more could you ask for? That's why I keep coming back, that and the abundant variety and great prices. And free shipping. Both ways. Did I mention Zappos rocks?!

I really like these shoes and was very impressed with Zappos customer service as well! I recv\'d them very quickly and was thrilled. I ordered size: UK 7 (US Men\'s 8, Women\'s 9) - I pretty much always a Women\'s size 10 (very rarely a 9.5) and these shoes fit great... almost a little too big, but I thought with winter coming up I could put on a thicker sock. They are so comfortable and I was surprised after reading other reviews that I didn\'t need to \'break them in\' at all. I did wear them for a few hours one day to test them out before taking them on a trip to Boston where I knew I\'d be doing A LOT of walking around. Loved them! They feel very durable and well-made which impressed me. I think I\'ll have these boots for years to come and I love that. Worth the expense!
