Overall:

These are adorable but they run wide. If your child is wearing 1/2 sizes, then size down. My daughter is a 9 1/2 and I had to return the 10 for a 9.

My 4 yr old has almost grown out of hand-me-down Docs from her now 14 yr old cousin, and I am about to order her another pair. The are the best, easy to put on, they stay on well, they're comfortable, the take a beating, and of course they're very style-y. My kid has quite the shoe collection, thanks in large part to grandma, but always prefers to wear her docs.

I bought a yellow pair for my 2 year old and a pink pair for my 5 year old. My younger kid had no problems at all but my older one, who has wide feet, did require a size up after she complained they were too tight. Once we put on the larger pair we have had zero complaints. They are constructed very sturdily, and the dirt which follows my kids everywhere washes off so easily. We get compliments everywhere we go and I think they look great with any outfit my kids want to wear, very versatile! My kids and I both adore these shoes!!

Love them - These boots are really nice. They fit great, look great and wear in so that they look even better as they age. Also, my son has really narrow feet and they tightened enough to fit him right.

Dr. Marten's 5-Eye boot - This is the second pair of these boots that I have purchased from Zappos. Being an adult that wears a smaller size shoe I totally abused the first pair!! I wore them everyday to work and then I wore them at home to work inside and outside. They endured well which made it obvious to me what pair I need to purchase. I still wear the old boots for work, but now I have a new pair to wear out when the need calls.

I can't get her out of them...I purchased these shoes specifically for dressier occasions but my three year old simply wears them everywhere.I specifically love the study construction, the nose of the shoe doesn't even have a dent on it, given she's learning to ride a trike and uses her toes to stop.I love the way they look with her jeans but especially the way they look with her skirts and dresses and how she's still able to play without me worrying about her sliding across the floor in the traditional dress up shoes.

Big pleaser for lady with small feet -This shoe is terrific. There are no inside seams, in this shoe, to press against my sensitive toes. The soles do not mark up my floors, they polish up beautifully, and the laces can be eased when my feet swell. Until I found this shoe I had to wear shoes that did not fit my 2 ½ W foot.

The cutest shoes I have ever seen - The shoes are well worth the money. My daughter gets so many compliments every time she wears them. They also go with so many of her outfits. A great buy...Love them

Perfect shoe - Perfect shoe for my super picky narrow footed boy! He complains of all shoes feeling "funny". They were a bit heavy for him at first but they help him stay grounded! Nice lace up for his narrow foot. Not to say that they wouldn't fit a regular or wide foot it's just that the lace up gives the opportunity to tighten up the shoe for his narrow foot. Super sturdy. These shoes will way outlast him. Great for nasty weather here in Maine too. Perfect for casual dress up in the holidays. "They're cool mom!" need I say more?

Great shoe - not for wide feet - My daughter wears a 10 US shoe size. I was advised to buy the Size 8. She could get it on her foot, however, when I added a lightweight sock, she complained that the shoe felt too tight. She does have a little bit of a wider foot, so I would say this shoe is not for a wider foot or maybe you would buy up a size. I am going to be sending these back and trying the next size up. Quality of shoe is excellent.

Love 'em - Just bought them for school. They are very sturdy and have a great look to them. My daughter loves them... I don't know if they're going to last the whole year, but if they don't, it won't be because they didn't hold up for lack of quality. It will be because she outgrew them.

Wonderful Power Kid Shoe - This particular shoe is perfect for a child on the go. My daughter is a girly girl, but also can keep up with the boys, academically and physically. Because of her activeness, she is hard on shoes. Dr. Martens provides a perfect shoe because it appeals to both her femininity, and rugged side. Durable soles, thick upper leather, and a solid toe protect her feet at every turn, while looking cute with skorts, jumpers, and slacks.

Super cute and very functional!Just got these for my 4-year-old daughter and we both love them! She's soon a US size 10, and the UK size 8s seem perfect for her. So the size chart when ordering them seems right on now. These are great shoes for both wearing with jeans to preschool or with casual dresses. And I love that she can easily get them on and off by herself!!

Great Shoes!!So happy to find Dr. Martens in a child's size. They are very well made. My daughter is really rough on shoes and these held up well to her rough play. The leather on the toes does get scratched periodically. This can easily be fixed with some shoe polish. This helps keep the leather conditioned and nice looking. They are a bit expensive, but I will able to save them for my younger daughter to wear. Definitely recommend.

Great School Shoe - I bought these shoes for my 4th grader last year. She wore these daily to a private school. It offers great support and with a little polish after several months, they look good as new. It is the only shoe that lasted the whole year and then some. Definitely worth the money.

One problem - I am surprised that only one reviewer mentioned how quickly the leather on the toe wears off. I bought two pairs of these for both of my daughters to wear with their school uniforms. The shoes are adorable and very comfortable, the girls both loved them. But the problem is the brown wore off of both pairs of the toes almost immediately. They looked old and worn right after they'd worn them only a few times. I'm surprised so many children were able to wear these everyday and not have this problem.

Love them!My little girl fell in love with her bright yellow boots right away. I bought them for rainy days, but she won't wear anything else. She's 3 years old and a total wild thing. Added benefit, when she ran off at the mall, security was able to find the kid with the bright yellow combat boots in no time flat.

Great shoe, can be worn with or without braces - My daughter uses AFO's and this boot is wide enough to be worn with AFO's. I gave only 3 stars for the color mainly, but overall it was a great purchase. My daughter's therapist said these could also be worn without her AFO's because they support ankle. Zappos is wonderful! I had to return another boot before this that was too narrow and Zappos makes it so easy and free return shipping!

The best shoes - I love the Dr. Martens shoes I bought for my 9 yr old son. They are sturdy and comfortable and wear well for both school (uniform) and church. I often have a lot of trouble finding nice dress/casual shoes for my sons (lack of selection); Zappos has changed that. I ordered the shoes on a Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. and I received them via UPS the next morning Wed. 10 a.m. (no charge). Zappos has a new customer!!

DOCS ROCK!I purchased these shoes for my children and they are the best. I have a daughter who just rocks them and looks good with everything from skirts to dresses to pants! My son also rocks them, not only are they amazing looking, they are durable, and waterproof. We live in Minneapolis, as everyone knows, the weather is always changing. These shoes can do any weather and they wipe off beautifully! Love them, planning on buying more in near future. (With these bright colors, you can see them from a mile away!!!) Zappos rocks, ordered them at night, and they came the next day! My kids were stoked!

Mary Jane Review - This is a great shoe. My toddler will destroy any shoe in no time, but this one held up. It fits well, and she can wear them without socks. On top of it all they are cool shoes. I will by another Dr. Marten shoe when she grows out of this one.

Great!These are longer-/narrower-looking than I remember, but they're still the best. I work 12hr hospital shifts on my feet, and I swear by these for the support.
