Awesome boots! This Mr. Martens' boots are excellent not only in looks, but in size as well. Since Dr. Martens' shoes do not come in half sizes and only in UK sizes, I usually have a difficult time finding the right fit. This boot however, is definitely true to size. I am size 7, which translates to size 5 in UK. However, Dr. Martens' size UK 5 is usually too small and size UK 6 is usually too big. This boot in size 5 is definitely a perfect size 7. Thank you for making this boot the perfect size for me!

Dr. Martens - My husband loves these boots; he wore them when he went to Iraq for a year. And now he is in the oilfield business and these are the only ones he ever asks for, comfortable, waterproof and steel toe, and non skid...

Something changed - In my line of work I depend on a good strong, steel toed boot with lots of support. Jumping in and out of a delivery truck all day can be hard on footware. The Dr Martens I've gotten in the past have always lived up to the challenge. The 8555 were excellent, but alas Zappos no longer has them. So I thought I'd give these a try. Well... When I first put them on the fit great! But by the end of the day, My feet were getting sore, where the front toe seam is just below the laces. So my first thought was that they needed a break in period. Well it’s been two weeks that I've been trying to break these in, adjusting the laces several different ways, constantly adjusting the tongue. I just can't seem to get comfortable in them. With one foot or the other I seem to have some pain where the bottom of the laces meet the toe of the shoe. These were the same size Dr Martens I've been buying for years. Bottom line, Dr. Martens have always been great in the past, but this pair, didn't live up to my expectations. I know I won't buy this style again. Hope this helps.

I’ve been wearing the traditional design docs boots for years. I’ve tried other brands but nothing remotely compares; Dr. Martens are by far the best made and most comfortable boots out there (their air sole technology really helps them remain comfortable for years). I wanted to try a different Dr. Marten boot design this time around and so I went with the Ironbridge ST (black). Besides looking simultaneously modern and rugged, but with enough of the traditional Docs sexiness, the appeal of the boots was even better once I physically had them in my hands and put them on. Another utility-style feature of the boot that I liked was the leather finish. It was glossy enough to look clean and classy, but it was also matte enough to not show dirt or marks. The leather has a slight texture to it which also prevents scuffs or scratches from surfacing. Functionally, I additionally liked how the Ironbridge ST's design supported the toe from the outside further forward and the laces were also further forward when compared to a traditional boot's toe design. This has helped prevent the all-too-common toe crease that you get when you bend the boot forward (if you crouch often etc). The build quality feels phenomenal, and the air soles provide a consistently comfortable foot cushion that enables you to be on your feet for hours and hours without fatigue or pain. One of the other reviews mentioned a pinching type feeling where the toe met the body of the boot (at the front of the laces) with this design. I can say from experience that this is a common issue with all boots during the break in process. With these boots, I only felt that slight bend constriction for a max of couple of weeks (a shorter period than my other boots) during the break in phase. I've tried over 25 models of docs and other brands before I got these from Zappos a couple of months ago and I can tell you that, in my opinion, these are the best boots out there. -R

About Dr. Martens
Where the classic 1460 style was being used by mailmen, union workers, and factory workers, it soon became popular among the masses. The 1460 continues to thrive, symbolizing individualism, originality, and taps into a individual's unique style who's willing to make that bold statement.
Dr. Martens doesn't think of itself as a "shoe" brand, but rather a way of thinking, a self-expression if you must. Popularly known as Doc Martens, they allow you to feel free to rock your grunge shorts, spike up your hair to the heavens, showoff your body art, whatever floats your boat. So whether you call them Dr. Martens, Doc Martens or just Docs there are no limits to your creativity.

These are great boots for work. They are extremely comfortable even with the steel toe. I even wear them on the weekends. However, they are a bit hard to put on as they do not have a loop on the back to pull them on!

This was my first Zappos purchase as well as my first Dr. Martens. First let me say that one word covers the Zappo experience, and that is EXCELLENT. Comment on my Zappos experience, excellent. The Docs fit true to size and felt perfect from the first time I put them on. No break in period needed with these shoes at all.

Every time I order from Zappos we stand with the UPS man and laugh - I order one day and it is usually delivered by the next day! That is just with the regular shipping, nothing extra AND we live in the middle of nowhere! Our UPS man says that Zappos is the best company for shipping anywhere. I say that Zappos has the best deals anywhere. What a combination. You guys are awesome.
Brands I'd also recommend: This is a gift so I won\'t know until Christmas. Hope, hope, hope.

I wear boots 24/7, so i need comfort!! from what i can tell, I will be a Dr. Martens boot wearer for life, as long as they have ones that fit!:) Awesome boots!... Zappos has excellent service, i won't shop anywhere else for Boots

Great, solid boots from Dr. Martens. I've owned them a whole month and they're still going strong. (They insisted on a review.) (OK, I anticipate the same experience I've had with the other Docs I own, which are all still in the rotation after many years.) And I can't say enough about Zappos: good value and prompt delivery as usual. Love 'em.

This boot is very well made, but it is heavy. The loops on the top of the boot make it hard to put on. Also, it makes it harder to get the boot tightened up. The soles add about an inch to your height. I am a tall man, so I don't really need that. They are comfortable to walk in.

Like these boots. Well made, sturdy, and incredibly comfortable. I have a 2E width and usually have a hard time finding boots that fit right. Generally have to go up a size to get somewhat of a good fit in width even when they are already extra wide. No shenanigans with this boot. Fit is right on the money. As always it was also a pleasure dealing with Zappos. I am a longtime fan of this company.

This is my first pair of Dr. Marten shoes. These boots are awesome. I had them on for about an hour and they were totally broken in. They are very comfortable even with a steel toe. I would buy these boots again and again.

I'm very happy with these shoes. Very comfortable and I can wear them all day without fatigue. Just remember their British so order one size smaller. 13 for a 14.

The only shoe or boot I have put on my feet for the last 15 years has been Dr. Martens. Why do I stick with Docs like glue? Because they fit my feet perfectly and they out last anything else I have seen on other people\'s feet. The Ironbridge ST met my every expectation again; Dr. Marten has not disappointed me.

I purchased these Doc Ironbridge steel toe Industrial boots at a local work boot store and wish I'd bought them at Zappos instead because they are cheaper at Zappos (plus free shipping and no tax!). I drive a tractor-trailer for a regional produce company and deliver daily to a dozen restaurants. This type of work is very hard on boots, working in the docks, trailers, city alleys and greasy restaurants. These boots have held up very well to that tough environment, are exceptionally comfortable and get great traction on greasy restaurant floors. Granted, you do have to break them in for a week or so and experiment a little with lacing to get the perfect fit, but after that, they fit great and I haven't had any discomfort with the steel toe either. I clean them off every night and occasionally use Doc Marten's Wonder Balsam and they still look new after months of use. Oh and the style, with yellow stitching - I deliver in a college town and the women compliment me on the style and instantly recognize they are Docs! I highly recommend them.

Very comfortable. It took about 15 minutes to "break them in". I'm not going to say they feel like sneakers because they are work boots after all, but I will be ordering these again when and if these wear out.

This is a very comfortable steel-toe work boot. I work in the environmental consulting industry, doing a ton of field work, so this shoe has been everywhere. By far, it is the most comfortable work boot I have ever owned. My feet do not ache after a 12 hour day on rough terrain. Excellent support, fair price.
