Extremely comfortable boot. Because of the wider shaft jeans tuck in easily. This will be a great boot for someone who is on their feet a lot. It does run a little wide.

The weight of these boots was the first thing I noticed; they are very light, which surprised me. There is room to tuck in jeans and some to spare (16in calves at the widest), so I think anyone with more slender/average calves would be swimming in these boots. The leather is really flexible (which is good because the shaft does come up to just under my knees and I am 5'9") and the sole is cushioned and comfortable. The profile of these boots didn't make my feet look super huge like all the other riding type boots I have tried lately. These didn't appear to be my style at first glance, but I am really glad I tried them out because they are great and now my knee-high boot search is done.

These boots were worth every penny for me! Most boots are not wide enough for my "football" calves. With the extra amount of stretchy material on the top of the boot I can zip them up with ease. I'm a 5'10.5" gal and they are the perfect height as well reaching below the knee. Would advise anyone to try them out, you won't be disappointed!

Loved these boots! I will have to wait until next fall to see if Zappos will carry them in a smaller size since the 10 is gone. That's what you get when you wait to buy boots I s'pose! Hard to "star" on a comfort rating since I haven't worn them (hence the three) but the overall and style is a fiver.

These boots are great! I am able to push through a 12 hour work day with these on with no complaints about my feet being achy. The calfs are definitely a 16" circumference and they do have room to give, if needed.The base of the boots is probably about half a size wider than what is said. These boots are not made for those who have narrower calves. But given the wider stance of these boots, they are made to be worn with comfortable socks and stay true to the Doc Marten Air Wear. The leather used is very soft and worth the price.
