I love these. I got the taupe color - it's gorgeous and perfect for spring. I was worried about the ribbons being secure, but was pleasantly surprised. The only thing is, the ribbons don't reach the top eyelets, so you do have to wear those undone, like the picture. However, a 2nd pair of more "regular" woven laces is included, which I imagine are long enough. The boots are comfy and true to Doc's sizing, which can take some trial and error. For instance, I am a US 7. I would call the UK 5 more equivalent to a US 7.5. With thick socks it's not much of an issue, but if you want to wear thin socks or nylons, you might go down a size. That's what I do in Doc sandals or dressy pumps, where I am either barefoot or wear nylons. Hope that helps.

These are absolutely awesome! I have narrow feet but these were not available in narrow. I just wear thick socks. Everyone loves them. They are super!

I love these boots and the picture definitely looks taupe. However, the pair I received is nowhere close to taupe, more a grey/stone color. The lacing and lining are both as shown, but the shoes themselves are the wrong color. Sadly, I will be returning them.
