These shoes are great! I've always wanted to get a pair of Dr. Martens shoes, but always worried about paying this much for them. These shoes are completely worth it. I am a zookeeper and these shoes are exactly what I need for my daily routines. The steel toes are great, the padding on the inside of the shoes are very comfortable, and it makes my feet very comfortable. Don't hesitate on getting these boots for work; they are completely worth it. Also, it only took 2 days for me to receive my boots from Zappos.com. That was one of the quickest internet transactions I've ever had. I was able to wear the boots to work the next day. Great boot and great site!

Best boot purchase I have made in a long time. Very comfortable and the look of the boot is unique when compared to other boots in their class. Also I like the fact that this boot has rings for the top shoe lace holes rather than the class hook style which tends to "chew up" laces very fast. Over all I could be more happy with them!

Great boots! Nice boots. They were a little big so I had to order a size down. I have to wear steel toed boots for work and had never worn Dr. Martens. If I have to wear safety shoes, I wanted to go with something cool. They are also easy on the ankles (I was not used to wearing high top shoes). Zappos is also a great place to buy shoes. I was very pleased with their customer service.

I bought these boots for work. I work at a salvage yard on concrete floors all day. The soles are very comfortable. However, they are a heavy shoe, so they're great for standing stability but not good for lots of walking. After a few months I wore through the toes, but I'm going to glue toe guards on them. Otherwise, they've held up well.

I purchased these boots almost a month ago very concerned they would not fit properly. I wear a size 7US women\\\'s Dr. Marten boot, kind of snug, but it wasn\\\'t steel toe and I was afraid the steel toe boot would be very tight. I ordered the size 7 because they do not have half sizes. When I got them and tried them on, they felt tight around my baby toe and top of my foot (my feet are like duck feet). I loosened the laces, didn\\\'t use the top eyelet, and wore them around the house for a few hours, and they are the most comfortable boots I\\\'ve ever had. They fit nice, look nice, and I feel safe in them. Just make sure you wear socks over your Achilles heel, of course.\\r\\nAlso, I appreciated how kind Zappos was on the phone, esp compared to the mfr, who was very rude and I chose not to order from. It was the same price but would not have been worth the inferior service.

They were a little uncomfortable for the first 3 weeks of use while the boot was getting broken-in (mostly in the toe area), but most of my comfort issues have subsided and now it’s back to feeling the way a Doc Marten should feel. I’ve been wearing Docs since high school and my last pair gave me 8 years of service so I’m certain these new ones will provide the same level (if not more) of service. So far I’m very happy and recommend them to anyone who is a Doc Marten fan or just needs a really durable boot.

I bought these boots for my daughter who needed steel toed boots but is very fussy about what she wears. She absolutely loves them. She says they are very comfortable and look great too! I appreciate that fact that they are well made and last a long time. I have bought her other Dr.Marten boots and every time have been impressed with the quality as well as the service of Zappos. I ordered the boots and had them the next day! Now that's service.

Great work boots - I had the same style of Docs for 2 years and just replaced-in-kind. They're great for the chemical plant where I work, thick enough soles to let me splash through puddles etc. without soaking my feet. They're a little heavy, a bit clunky, and have a short break-in period, but I recommend them for anyone who walks or stands a lot. I wish they made half sizes!

I bought these even though I had read lots of complaints, and they are wrong, these boots are very comfortable, and fit well, I got them to be able to ride my motorcycle, they give me a bit added height, being 5'3 I need it, Great pair of boots.

The best boots I've ever owned -
These boots are fantastic, as long as you're not in the sun. (They do get a bit warm.) They're durable, comfortable, and look and feel great. I typically wear a W's size 8 in boots, or a 7.5 in all others, but I decided to go for a size 7 and they fit perfectly. Ordering with Zappos has been a pleasure also.

I work in an industrial battery warehouse. These shoes have saved my feet from falling objects to splatters of acid going all over them. And these shoes never miss a beat! Totally the most comfortable shoes I own. I will wear them till they fall off my feet and then order another of the same model! Totally worth the price!

I have always, well since I was a teenager many years ago, worn Doc Martens. This pair is no exception! They are very comfortable (I am on my feet all day), and if past experience is anything to go by will last quite a while. And as always Zappos got them to me promptly and with no hassle. I am very pleased!

In true DM style these boots are both comfortable and cool. Insoles mold to your feet in a day and the steel toe is as tough as anything on the market. I'm not a big "high top" fan usually, but these are the most conformable work shoes that I have ever owned, and now I don't mind being on my feet all day.

These are the fifth pair of Docs I've purchased from Zappos. All are extremely comfortable for concrete floors where I spend most of my working hours. This is my first pair with steel toes and they take longer to break in and feel a half size smaller than regular Docs. Apparently the steel takes up some room. If you have a choice skip the steel toes, if not you won't find a better shoe.

For those that live in the kitchen...
I have just recently purchased my third pair of these boots. They are wonderful. I work 8+ hours everyday in a kitchen and these boots truly stand up to the test. The soles of these boots have survived everything from grease/oil/food/etc. on the ground with incredible slip resistance and have handled extremely well with sharp objects and 375 degree oil dropped on them. The previous two pair I have owned has each lasted 2+ years and I have no doubt the third will last just as long or longer. I wear a 12 USA (11 UK) and have a wider foot than average and these boots fit great! These boots are the best protection for my feet. I highly recommend them!
Other Brands Recommended by Reviewer: For long hours on your feet and hazardous ground condition, any Industrial Doc Marten is a safe bet.
