I had a pair of these 8053s years and years. Before purchasing a new pair I read the reviews of the new ones and I was not sure what I would be getting. I am happy to say my new pair is just as quality and just as comfortable as my first pair. I love my new pair and wear them regularly. The 8053s are my favorite because of the padded heel area. You may be interested to know that I am a female and these shoes look quite good, not manly, on the ladies. They dress up very well for those days you do not want to wear heels.

These will stretch a little! I ordered size 15 and they felt a little tight. After a day of wearing, they were absolutely perfect. I have had bad luck in the past with dress shoes since they have always been uncomfortable or hurt my feet. These shoes were amazing and I highly recommend. Zappos provided very fast shipping right before Christmas and they arrived before the advertised date. Will shop here and purchase similar in the future.

Dr. Martens are “classics” for a reason. These did take a long time to break-in, but now that a year of almost daily use has passed they are wonderful! They still look very new, barely any wrinkles on the upper and the tread is almost 100% still. I'm confident these will last a long time. I have relatively normal width feet, but these do feel a bit wide for me, even though I got the standard D width. Otherwise, they fit great and never caused any blistering or discomfort. Hopefully I won't have to, but I would buy them again!

I love Dr. Martens, I stand on my feet all day and they are the only shoes I wear to work. They are somewhat heavy, but very supportive and comfortable. I highly recommend them.

This model has a really nice sole, and a super heavy leather upper which I love. It should last a long time. I am concerned about the durability of the heel area padding, which seems to be vinyl instead of leather, so be careful putting these on as to not crush it too much. The width also seems to be wider than D as advertised, and the arch support is almost non-existent, if that is important to you. Overall it's a great casual shoe, and they look good with khakis and jeans. It does take a while to break them in, but once you do they're quite comfortable.

Zappos themselves is one of the greatest companies to work with! Customers will be made happy and if you are having a bad day just call them for the home of the day. Shoes I bought from them were quickly sent to me and for according to size perfectly. Very impressed by swoops yet again!

These shoes were purchased as a Christmas gift for my 27 year old son. He manages an upscale restaurant and is on his feet, not surprisingly, for 12 hrs. or more a day. He loves these shoes. They were true to size but even if they weren't, Zappos incredible return policy makes it so easy to exchange for another size. I cannot sing the praises of Zappos enough.
