Awesome!! I've been waiting for Dr. Martens to make a dressier oxford shoe without the yellow stitching. Finally here it is! This shoe is very comfortable and well worth the money. I'm considering buying two pairs as I wear them for both work and play.

Doc Marten Oxford - Everything about this show and the order was excellent. The shoe is excellent for everyday and for dress.
Brands I'd also recommend: Doc Marten Oxford style 8309. If you carried it I'd purchase it immediately.

In this trend of minimal, barely covering your foot shoes, my Dr Marten's provide sturdiness and support with comfort and indestructibility. If it is your favorite shoe, you will have it until you become tired of wearing it. This white oxford will be my summer shoe for years to come.
Brands I'd also recommend: Clarks and Dr Martens

Great all-around work/play shoes - I've got arthritis in my knees and have a hard time finding stylish funky shoes that also have enough support to get me through the day AND are nice enough to wear to the office. Hooray, these work. Give yourself a good two weeks to break in, though - they're not "out of the box" comfortable.

Dr. Marten's oxfords - I'm so pleased Doc Marten's came out with an oxford without the yellow stitching. I can wear my comfy, sturdy Docs to the office. Hurray for removable insoles - my orthotics fit. My 1461s are a year old, I wear them daily and there's still little visible wear on the shoes. These, like my other Docs, should last for decades. Detracted one star on Look because although they are "unisex" and sold in the women's department, they do look rather masculine.

About Dr. Martens
Where the classic 1460 style was being used by mailmen, union workers, and factory workers, it soon became popular among the masses. The 1460 continues to thrive, symbolizing individualism, originality, and taps into a individual's unique style who's willing to make that bold statement.
Dr. Martens doesn't think of itself as a "shoe" brand, but rather a way of thinking, a self-expression if you must. Popularly known as Doc Martens, they allow you to feel free to rock your grunge shorts, spike up your hair to the heavens, showoff your body art, whatever floats your boat. So whether you call them Dr. Martens, Doc Martens or just Docs there are no limits to your creativity.

These shoes are a little masculine; however, I kind of like it. I love the style; however, I went through hell to try to break them in. I've had them for a couple weeks and they still aren't completely broken in. It probably takes a good month and a half or even two to break them in. Like other Docs, once you break them in, they are so comfortable.I bought this shoe in cherry and it looks great. I secretly want to buy the Pewter Koram Flash ones.

This was my first purchase at Zappos. This was one of the best transactions I've had. The shipment was very fast and the product is as described. Bought these shoes before; they are one of the sturdiest pairs. They needed to be replaced not because of the wear and tear, but because my daughter outgrew her other pair. I have purchased again from Zappos and would highly recommend them.

These shoes are awesome. If you are a person that likes to be noticed, these are the shoes for you. I bought a pair directly from Dr. Martens and it took 2 weeks to arrive. Bought this pair from Zappos and came the next day. You can't beat that! Just a little note: If you are not familiar with Doc Martens, they are a little heavier then most shoes. And they don't have 1/2 sizes. I love Zappos. Their service is amazing. I will be a customer for life.

An absolutely wonderful shoe. I recently purchased the 8053 in Brown/Grizzly. I love it and decided that I 'needed' new Docs in black as well. But, for a little less funky look, I decided to get the smooth leather, 3 whole 'Gibson' style oxford in a 'w'. This means it's a womens rather then a unisex; slightly narrower toe box and arch/vamp area. No padded collar which is so comfy and I did feel the slight heel rub which other reviewers have mentioned, but forewarned is forearmed and I immediately put on a bandaid over each rub area, pulled on a pair of 'wigwam' style crew socks, put on my new shoes and totally forgot they were on and wore them all day. The fit is true, great arch support and the shoe feels so light. A very happy camper here.

I received the shoes one day ahead of time which was great. The shoes were a bit uncomfortable the first week or so on my heels but soon after I broke them in. I love the white Doc Martens. They go with everything, especially my jeans!

These are comfortable, but do need some breaking in. My only complaint about them is that there are no half sizes available. I usually wear either an 8 or an 8 1/2. The UK 6 was so small I couldn't get my foot in without pain, even with very thin socks. The UK 7 is too big, but with my orthotics and heavier socks they are very comfortable. I wouldn't wear them for a day long walk though. Dr. Martens, how about some half sizes?

Doc Marten's are great long wearing shoes. I have owed one pair for over twenty years. This pair will be my first with women's sizing. I like the adjusted arch support and the improved footbed. I have a wide foot. It appears that the shoe has a wide enough toe box.I'm still trying them out. I have not worn them out or off carpet as yet. I like Zappos 365 days return policy and fast shipping.

Love these shoes, always wanted a pair of Docs and finally have a pair, one day hopefully I can get a pair of the boots. One of the shoes is tight on the top of my foot, the tongue/laces area. Is that normal for Docs? It's only on one foot I've got this issue, I've never encountered that, never had that as a factor for breaking in a shoe. They do feel stiff but that's common with new shoes especially of this material.

Love these shoes! But admit had to take them to shoe repair shop before wearing to break down\/soften the heels. They hit at a perfect place for a painful blister. After softening them up, and wearing with socks and bandaids a few times, the shoes are comfortable and easy to wear. I normally wear a 6.5, and the size 4\'s fit perfectly.

Great shoe! It comes out of the box pretty stiff and needs to soften up quite a bit before you can wear without heel protection. But perfect in every other way.

Zappos rock. I ordered these Doc Martens and expected to get them in a regular amount of time, and I got an e-mail from Zappos telling me they upgraded my shipping to overnight free of charge that was really great. The company has great service, friendly customer service and carry all the greatest brands. I couldn't find these Doc Martens anywhere else. I love the shoes and Zappos!

I loved my last pair of DM oxfords so much that I wore them until my big toes wore through the top of the shoes and the soles flattened out. They lasted for years. I was excited to get these, and it feels like DM has changed the fit and feel for the better! I've been wearing DMs on and off for about 20 years now because of their comfort and durability. These feel really good, and I have a hard time finding great shoes due to a major foot injury plus subsequent surgeries. DM is still the great shoe that I've loved for so many years. And thanks to Zappos for their excellent customer service!

These are iconic shoes in an awesome medium gray color but what I did not count on is how stiff and hard the leather is and it would probably have broken my feet in before I could get the shoes to fit properly. They are heavy and seem supportive enough in the sole but since the inset is not removable I could not use my orthotics and I noticed that there was a gap in the ankle area where I pronate. Too bad because it was a decent fit in heel and toe box.

I had a foot injury in high school - no obvious fractures, but I've got a very high/painful instep. Changing shoes helps me. I go from MBTs to Doc Martens, sometimes wedge/platforms for short periods of time. I like to be 'different' and these are definitely for me - the sparkles are great, do not flake off & I wore them a full day the first time I put them on - my feet were very happy. Love my Martens!
