I really like this crossbody. At first, the leather had a matte-like finish and color was light camel-tan natural but after a couple of month's use, it now has darkened to a golden caramel tan, has further softened, and has developed a shiny patina finish. Simply gorgeous quality leather. All scratches and scuffings are easily and completely rubbed off by my fingers. I love the leather and this styling so much that I went ahead and ordered the east/west satchel in the same florentine vachetta leather (with front pocket and whipstitch details too). These bags will last me a very long time.
Brands I'd also recommend: Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Cole Haan, Fossil, Tignanello

I got this bag in black, and it's very well made and looks both durable and elegant. The leather stitching is a great touch. But I find the bag difficult to use. The bag is 9" wide, as described, but the zipper at the top opening is closer to 7" wide, This makes it hard to get items in and out, like my wallet for example. Really wish that top zipper was just a little wider or that this bag was also available in a larger size. It's really a beautiful bag, just doesn't work for me.

I ordered this purse in black and it was my very favorite purse of all time! I loved the tassel on it and loved the fact that it didn't have all that gaudy bright gold trim on it. I loved the leather! I hated to have to return it, but it was unfortunately too small. I would keep buying this purse forever if it were only larger. I could only fit a very small wallet in it and my glasses case and keys. There was no way to fit my small digital camera in it, nor my iPhone cord charger, so I had to return it. I hope Dooney & Bourke decides to make this purse a little larger. Maybe 11x10 or 11x11? Trouble with Dooney & Bourke is they have their purses too small and then jump to such big purses that they are way too big and gaudy. Hopefully they will make this purse in a perfect size next time. This purse was a perfect style for me. Not so dressy and gaudy. I like the sort of little western look it had. This is my favorite type of leather. It is nice and thick and not flimsy and shiny. It was a very rich and classy looking purse.

These are cute and classy, but way too small. The top zipper is difficult to use (sticky). It is also smaller than the top opening, making it hard to retrieve items inside the purse. I love it, though and because it was a Valentine's gift, I will keep it. I love carrying it. It seems a little pricy for the size.

I ordered two of these, Black and Natural. I'm a Dooney addict, and love this bag, but admittedly, they can do no wrong by me. I find this bag comfortable, and wonderful looking. If you've tried this bag and found it too small, try the mini Florentine satchel. It is more money, but the size may be better for you, and it has the ability to crossbody if you want.

Absolutely beautiful bag. The photo does not do it justice. When I opened the box, the fragrance of rich leather overtook me and just about filled the room. The stitching in a lighter color thread contrasts beautifully with the dark brown leather. An incredibly handsome cross body. My only regret is that the top opening isn't a bit bigger because I have a gigantic wallet. But wallet and Otter Droid and a few other small essentials fit just fine.

I bought this bag in white with matching wallet. It is just the perfect bag. I think I will get the natural color also, it would be perfect for fall. Crossbody bags are my fav and Zappos is my favorite site to shop on. Love their customer care and the shipping is so speedy and free.
