Overall:

This bag is about 500 times cuter in person. I did not like it online, but ran across it in a shoppe, and fell in love with it!! The cutest colors are the dark brown strapped and red strapped, although I went with the dark brown. The stripes seem to be somewhere between navy and black with some dark brown. Inside is a phone pocket, and key fob which I really like. I love the wide strap---I can wear it cross body, and it's lighter than I thought it would be. The leather is really soft, yet thick. I think it will last a long, long time. If you are mildly attracted to the picture online you will love it in person!!

I bought this purse in black and absolutely love it. Has a lot of room on the bottom but is quite tall if you need the height. Nice leather and hardware. You will not be disappointed.

This is a beautiful bag with lots of room and plenty of pockets. I have to agree with the other reviewer, though. The straps are not long enough to comfortably wear this bag over your shoulder. If you are used to carrying your bag hanging from your shoulder, this is not the bag for you.

LOVE THIS... Dillen Satchel in Plum Leather. Awesome medium sized. I thought I would have a hard time with the thin leather strap cutting into my shoulders but nope., the leather strap is very comfy and leather is soft. The Plum color is so beautiful in combination with the T'moro leather!! If you are a plum girly get it!! can't beat the price and the free shipping! and Zappos is the only one who A. Has this bag in this color and B. doesn't charge for tax and shipping..Love Zappos!

Stylish and Classic and Thanks to Zappos it's mine - First and foremost - best price (total cost) and customer service from Zappos in comparison to multiple retailers (store and online). The bag itself - bigger than I expected but for me more useful because of it as now can hold more work stuff and not just water bottles and lip gloss. Would not use every day for laptop but it could work running to a meeting in a different building, etc. Quality is amazing - fabulous leather...appears that it will age well. I love the contrast of brown leather handles with beautiful blue grey leather. Uncomplicated interior... Comfortable twill shoulder strap. Beautiful hardware... Thanks Zappos!

Awesome, awesome service! I ordered the bag yesterday and it showed up today! This is why I love Zappos! The bag is pretty great, too. It is the perfect size for credit cards, keys, cell phone, and lipgloss. It makes my diaper bag lighter by taking my personal stuff out of it. Great bag. I hope some fun colors come out for summer.

I love this bag! I had been looking for a LONG time for the perfect handbag. I wanted gray and I wanted a substantial, leather handbag. I even ordered two or three others and ended up returning them because they were sub-par. I generally know exactly what I want and I'm not happy unless I get it. Like other reviewers, I was a bit skeptical of the bag when I first got it, but it has proven to grow on me A LOT. The leather did soften and the zippers became easier to use. I absolutely love this bag now. For the price, I feel like I got a GREAT deal.

I have fallen in love! This purse is very beautiful. The leather is soft and smells great. The purse was bigger than I expected, but is perfect. The inside is roomy and is decorated with a pink lining. The inside pocket is also very large for extra storage of personal items. I just love Dooney and Bourke, and this has proved it yet again! I bought this purse for a week long trip away from home but I don't think that I can wait until then to carry it. Well worth the money!!!

Waste of your money - Your money is better spent somewhere else! This bag looks attractive when it is stuffed with paper, but once the paper is out the weight of the lobster clasp lock makes the bag sag. It is not roomy at all, outdated, and extremely basic - just one tiny cell phone pocket inside (your iPhone or Blackberry won't fit) and a small zip-up pocket. And boy, don't get me started on the metal lock - whoever came up with this complicated design wasn't thinking straight! You really have to work on it to open the bag. Anyway, I was disappointed with this bag and - you guessed correctly - it is going back to the warehouse!

Another Dooney Winner - I just LOVE Dooney & Bourke, I have more than 10 and they are all very well made, still look great after years and this style is another winner. Perfect for carrying light stuff, fits a small wallet, blackberry and many more items. I like the nylon material. It cleans easily, simple but yet classy and the crossbody is a plus! If you want something to grab and go, this is it, you can even stick it into a larger Dooney and pull it out for quick use. And, Zappos is the best, no tax, free shipping and AGAIN to my surprise received overnight, ordered Friday, received on Monday. Amazing service.

Great bag for college students - My mother purchased this for me as a Christmas gift. I was tired of always carrying a backpack or a Longchamp Pliage to class and this year I wanted to be a bit different. This is a great bag to carry my books and notebooks. I'm normally not one to purchase a D&B, but this is different than the gawdy other styles. I would not use it if you have a pharmacology class, but if your books are softbound, this is just fine. I like the cellphone holder inside the bag which is so useful and the sidewall zip pocket (great to store a small wallet).

I bought this bag in red. Amazing. Attention catcher. The leather is so soft and beautiful. The only thing I wish would complete the beautiful look is the inside fabric. Kind of rough and very simple. The size, the look, the feel is just perfect. Thank you Zappos for an excellent service like always. I am in love with the color of the bag.

This is a great bag! HUGE! Only 1 slip pocket on interior (description says multiple) and it’s quite small, my Blackberry only fits halfway into it. Other than that, it’s a big room bag and has a nice drop length (7"). The outside pockets have snap closures and are large enough to hold a water bottle. I have fully loaded my bag: wallet, Franklin planner, journal, small makeup case, iPod, cell phone, current novel, and magazine. There’s still plenty of room. The leather is of very nice quality and is quite flexible and smooth feeling. Overall, a very nice bag at a great price.

I just bought the wallet and the East/West Slouch bag and love them both. The wallet holds most things. I had to take a few things out, but that's ok. I needed to clean things out. I love the fact that I can put my checkbook in the wallet too. It is beautifully made and I am very happy with it.

I love my new bag! This is the first Dooney & Bourke bag I’ve bought and I am hooked. I like the fact that the bag holds its shape and doesn’t slouch too much. It is the perfect size and holds everything I need, while not being too big. The quality is excellent, too. I definitely recommend this bag.

I bought this bag as a 60th birthday gift for my mom (in white), and I think it will be perfect. She loves bags that: stand up on their own, can be used with things occasionally sticking out of them, can be worn over the shoulder, and are easy to open and shut. This bag fits all those criteria. The inside lining is a little more grey than I expected from the picture. It seemed like maybe it was navy from the images on my screen. They grey also looks good, it was just a little unexpected.

I bought this bag on a Thursday and it arrived on Monday. Not bad at all, but I was a little spoiled by the overnight service I had received on prior purchases. About the bag. It really is quite large and to be honest. I don't know if I'm going to keep it or return it for the medium bag. It's much larger than what I'm used to on a day to day basis, but I can see the value in the size for business, travel or even a diaper bag. I love the classic design. The zipper pockets on the front are going to be my catch all, for sure! As far as the quality goes, it's very well made, and I love the leather. There's no mistaking this for a cheap, knock off. This is my first D and B and the only other brands that I have to compare it to are Coach Via Spiga. The hardware is nice (though I wish it were silver) and the zipper pulls are thick seem very sturdy (a problem on previous purses I've had). I chose the dark gray.

Just perfect, beautiful & nice size. I love Dooney & Bourke! And I couldn't believe it when I found this Cross Body! The picture does not do it justice. I couldn't believe it when I opened the box & saw it for the first time; it is absolutely beautiful! Yes, purple is my favorite color, but Dooney has outdone themselves this time. This is just stunning. Really rich looking. When I saw the picture, I could not understand why Dooney used such a narrow strap? No one else does. But it is so comfortable, you don't even realize you're carrying a Cross Body. And then, when I looked in the mirror, it's perfect. Your eyes are drawn right to the purse & not this huge, wide strap hanging all over you. It is the perfect size as well. First of all, I love it that Zappos tells you what the purse could hold; that's a fabulous idea so you can visualize how it will work for you. With this one, I can even get my camera in. I love it that when you open the snap, it's easy to find what you need, not search all over. Your things don't shift around, but it's not too snug, it's still easy to take out whatever you're looking for. I have quite a few of Dooney & Bourke purses collected over the years. And when my daughter told me about Zappos a couple of years ago, it's been more affordable, easy to purchase and if need be, easy to return. Zappos is the best website ever! Anyways, I've also bought a few Dooney wristlets, flap wristlets, and my wallet. And speaking from experience, Dooney purses never show any "wear & tear". I'm disabled & not that old (tee hee), but I'm either in a wheelchair or using a walker. Whoever was with me had to carry my purse & then I'd have to ask for it every time I needed something. That's why I started searching for a Cross Body. I did not even see this one anywhere except here. Leave it to Zappos to come through again for me. Now I can carry my own purse, it's not heavy enough to be painful for me and like I already said, I can find what I need fast & easy. Wow, I didn't know I would end up writing this much. Once I started, I just couldn't stop. Obviously, I can't say enough about Dooney & Bourke, and definitely about Zappos!

Dooney & Bourke Calf Medium Zipper Pocket Sac: Frankly I was never a fan of D&B, although several friends swear by this handbag line. Came across this bag, on sale, in the sunshine yellowish/camel color, loved the boxy style, bought it, love it! Medium size in this handbag offers ample carrying capacity, not too heavy, nice flat shoulder strap, outside pockets are surprisingly spacious & great for the things I need to get to a zillion times a day (i.e., wallet, keys). The tall top curves up from each zipper end, so that it is tallest in the middle, but this excess leather sort of leans/slouches over so that the bag looks a lot more proportional (smaller), but you still have that extra room if you need to carry your lunch, supplies, some small bags/cosmetic purchases, etc. Anyway I've received more compliments on this bag than any I've ever owned. And I really like my high-end handbags! Love this winner.

This is the first leather Dooney & Bourke bag that I have purchased, and I had my eye on it for a while. I was torn between the medium and the large bag and after reading all the reviews, I ultimately decided on the medium, which I kind of regret because it is smaller than I thought it would be. Now, after using the Coach carryall as a diaper bag for the past 12 months, anything would be small, but I thought I would be able to carry a Dipes and Wipes, bottle, wallet and such in there, but it's kind of cramped.The wine/burgundy color is beautiful and rich and the leather seems to be softening, but it's still pretty stiff. The zippers are becoming easier to use as well. The one thing that I am pretty disappointed about is the lining. It's just a standard cotton lining and seems to be an afterthought of the designer. I guess I am used to the soft, satin lining of a Coach. And the Coach leather bags are more luxurious and substantial. Eventually I planned on getting the large bag in a different color, but on second thought, will likely save my money and invest in a large Coach bag.

The coin case arrived on the date given by Zappos. It arrived wrapped & sealed in plastic, had all of its tags, and was in mint condition. Altogether I was pleased with the ease of ordering through Zappos and with the purse itself.

I just received a Dooney and Bourke bag as a gift. I got\r\nit in the red, I wasn\'t too sure if I was going to like the strap, but once I put it on my shoulder I loved it.\r\nIt does not slide off like the other bags I have. I really like this pocketbook. The zippers are kinda hard to get opened and closed but hopefully once I use it all the time they will get easier.

Loved this purse when I first saw it on display at Dillards. When I went back to purchase it was gone. Tracked it down at Zappos for a better price. It is a great size and I love the look, but am really disappointed it did not come with a larger strap for carrying the purse on the shoulder. My other Dooney & Bourke purses all have a second strap for when you need to free your hands and arm for carrying other things. With the size of this purse it needs the second strap as it becomes heavy when the purse is half full. Trying to carry with the short strap under your arm is awkward as it is too tight under your arm. I have kept it, but will investigate closer before I purchase another purse this size without the longer strap.
