Creative director Lisa Pliner, Donald's wife, works side-by-side with Pliner to develop each new collection, inserting her artist's vision into the designs, colors and textures. The couple’s pure white Maltese, BabyDoll, is an ever-present influence as well. Today, Donald continues to develop an innovative line of luxury comfort footwear, mixing creative energy with ongoing entrepreneurial spirit. The company has expanded to include footwear for men and women, leatherwear for men and women, handbags, and belts. There are five Donald J Pliner concept stores in Miami, Coral Gables, Houston, Las Vegas, and San Jose.

Tell you folks, I was apprehensive at first, if to get this shoes or not; finally decided to purchase them and have no regrets at all. I own three pair of Johnston Murphy I purchased directly from them and other brands, but this one stands out from the bunch. I was also tentative on size as many times shoes differentiate from others as I'm a size 10 and these were true to size. I thank God for these shoes literally a master piece, have to admit those folks at Pliner's have great implementation on their design team, for when I lay eyes on these shoes I became a buyer as they stand out from the norm out there. They do come with an extra pair of black laces. Sweet and packaged very elegantly for those who care.
