Thank goodness I grabbed the brown Bruce before it disappeared so quickly, because it's a beautiful boot---my husband loves it. The brown's burnished cap toe that contrasts with the soft upper leather makes it very distinctive, with that sleek WWII vibe. My husband has a wide foot, but he is able to wear his normal size in the Bruce. Initially (because of his wide foot), there was a slight tightness across the top of his foot. But after a few wears, the soft leather is accommodating his extra width, and it is becoming more comfortable. It's a sleek and elegant look that can be dressed down or up.

i am a picky boot buyer, and wanted something to fit just right. I tried about six different brands of boots and this one came in a close second to the one I ultimately bought. This is a light weight but sturdy boot. It fits very snug (which I like) and feels very well made (good zipper too). I like that you can lace it for snug fit, but easily take it on and off with the zipper. Of all the lace up/zipper combo boots I tried, this is by far the best. I ended up liking the Frye zipper boot without laces a little better, but it was very very close - just came down to style for me. Style-wise the toe is a little long for me on this boot, so I liked the look of the Frye better. The long toe fits a little long too, for me. I do however recommend this boot if you like the look. fir and construction good! I like it better than Aldos.

After much hunting for winter shoe for Chicago, I landed on this nice boot. It feels nice and hefty in the sole and upper and as its smooth leather will be easy to care for. I have a narrow foot but got a good fit using my Super Feet inserts.
