This was, after much searching, the best-looking men's pea-coat that I could find on the internet. And by all means the pictures do not lie, it is a fantastic looking jacket, with plenty of material between you and the elements. While most people will have the collar popped down, you can use that leather strap to protect your neck, though the latches are very intricate and you need a mirror in order to fasten it. It is lined on the inside with a silk-like fabric, much to my relief, and has an interior pocket in the left breast (so its very possible to do the Napoleon look). I went against previous experiences with online orders and got a medium instead of a small, and it is a perfect fit, very slim-fitting. However, the reason I give it 3 stars is because of a very important flaw. The dozen or so buttons all over the coat are extremely poorly sewn onto the coat, and to my great annoyance, after just one use I came home to find two of those buttons missing from the coat! Now provided with the coat are three replacement buttons of varying size, and while I was able to repair the coat, I will need to re-sew all of the other buttons to ensure they are not lost as well. It is ridiculous to think that I should have to finish the coat myself given the price tag of this, and while I am willing to forgive the flaw to enjoy a fantastic coat, I am sure others will not be so patient. I hope this helps!

A very nice jacket, sizing is hard though. I had last year's version so I had a better idea. I'm 6' 150lbs I ordered both xl and xxl, the xl fits almost perfect though the problem with these jackets is how it's cut around the arms, there isn't a lot of leeway, so stretching in the jacket has stress points around the shoulders, a little restrictive. The xxl us a little wider than I would have liked but provided the arm room I needed. I'm getting the buttons moved about an inch over to take the room up, so if you want it to fit like a tailored jacket. get xl. If you want to layer or have freedom of movement, go with xxl.

Really like the cut, fit and style of the jacket. Sizing was off though - I know Diesel has really small sizes, but the L fits like Med/Small. I ordered XL as I'm 6'3" and like a slim fit, but the XL was just a bit too big. The Large fit perfect. I really like the jacket; it looks great and I get many compliments. Zappos did really well with the return and one day shipping.

Loved the quality and design so much, I bought both colors. I had to order the next size up, only due to the slim fit of the Jacket. No dislikes about style, fit, color, etc. on both colors, and it's warm. I love it, thanks Zappos!

Very stylish coat. Fit is snug and has a good, heavy weight to it. There are many options when wearing this coat between its 10 buttons, neck clip, and neck strap. Only complaint so far is the itchy wool at the neck and a bit at the wrists, plus I am unsure of how resilient the buttons are. You should probably buy one size larger than you normally would.

About Diesel
Diesel has long been a leading pioneer in denim and casual fashion, known for moving outside and ahead of trends in its industry. While retaining always its DNA, in recent years Diesel has evolved into the world of premium casual wear, becoming a true alternative to the established luxury market. Continually attracting new fans from all around the world, the label’s cult international following spans ever farther from the tranquil rolling hills of Molvena in northern Italy, home of the company's world headquarters. Despite Diesel’s extraordinary growth, its philosophy is the same as when it was created in 1978: it is still a brand that stands for passion, individuality and self-expression. Today, Diesel continues to blaze its own trail.
Renzo Rosso created the Diesel brand in 1978, choosing the name because it is easy to understand, pronounced the same way around the world, and has a rugged feel about it; at that time, Diesel was also considered an “alternative energy” so it was representative of an alternative taste in casual wear. In 1985 Diesel launched its first ‘For Successful Living’ advertising campaign in 1991, instantly establishing a reputation for innovative marketing. Diesel’s first flagship stores, in New York, Rome and London, opened in 1996.
Diesel clothing design do not follow established trends. Thay is largely unaffected by fashion fads; it is innovative and at times a bit radical, but it always shows careful attention to detail and focus on the selection of quality materials and production techniques. Diesel shoes, Diesel clothing, Diesel sunglasses and Diesel watch collections effectively precede trends and do not respond to them, with a constant emphasis on quality. The independent working methods within the company translate to a lifestyle attitude - the Diesel way.

I think this jacket looks very nice and bought it for my husband's birthday. He likes it a lot. As for the size of the jacket, it looks like it fits and he says it fits well too so I think it is true to size.

Great jacket! Got this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he hasn't taken it off! It can be worn with casual or dress clothing, and fits perfectly. Cheaper than anywhere else on the Internet and Zappos shipped it overnight for free...can't beat that! I will definitely be using Zappos for all of my future Internet shopping.

I seriously love this coat. As the other reviews have mentioned, buy a size up. I usually wear medium (I'm 6'3) but I decided to buy a large. It fits me perfectly! The design looks just as good in person as it does in the pictures I get compliments on this coat all the time! Originally I purchased the grey, which is a very nice deep and rich tone. Now that it's on sale, I just ordered the black one as well! The only downside to this jacket is that the wool on the collar dose itch, so you'll have to wear a scarf or something with a collar underneath.

The pea coat is actually really great. It does fit one size larger, I usually wear M/L, I ordered XL and it fit great. It's warm enough for autumn/spring and light winter, but it's not a cold winter coat. The coat is of high quality overall even if the collar itches a bit - after all it's wool. On the coat I received the inside pocket was sewn in onto itself making it unusable - I'm returning it and ordering the same one. Zappos makes it easy!

In a sea of pea coats, the Diesel Military Wittor stands out with all of it's fun zippers and pockets and other details to explore. Though there are technically three ways to wear it, you'll probably just end up wearing it like the model in the photo. It's plenty warm, too and it does occasionally get to freezing or below here in Austin, and this coat does the job. This will sound silly to everyone else, but residents of the warmer climes should note that you can't dress this down for a slightly chilly fall day like you can with some coats and jackets and it's too thick for that. It has to be cold for this coat to be appropriate. I almost always wear a medium in shirts and sweaters, and often buy a size down for outerwear since I like a tailored, slim fit. However, Diesel takes this into account and the medium fits me just fine. Whether or not this means it runs small or average depends on how you typically buy outerwear.

A great coat! Looks sharp, and I get compliments a lot. Seriously listen to the others about sizing. I'm 5' 11" with 32" waist and I purchased a Large. Fits great! Should be fine for people slightly taller or larger as well. This coat is comfortable as well and is only okay for warmth.
