Fitted perfect. I am 5'9 and 170 Ibs athletic build and the medium fit perfect. The jacket is a little snug hence it is a fitted cut. If you are planning on wearing thicker clothing order a size up, but watch the sleeve length unless you are tall. I also have a 32' waist and 39' chest for reference. Diesel does a great job as they always do with the detail. That is one of the reasons their cloths are on the higher end of the price section. Last but not least the nylon on this jacket is the softest and smoothest I have ever felt. This is my new favorite jacket and I own about 50 so that is saying a ton. This jacket is stylish without going overboard so you will not have the D B style going on when you walk in the room!

Good fit. Weight is good for high 40s - high 50s. I wish the zipper laid flat a little bit more. No zipper ever does but this one's more obvious than my other jackets for some reason.
