I purchased this as a gift for my mother. The front loading water compartment allows her to fill it without pulling it out from under the cabinet. The programmable timer works great. This item was perfect for what I needed and she loves it.

Overall I really like this coffee maker. If I could change anything, I would change the water reservoir. It is in the front which is great but it is not placed in an area easy to see while pouring the water. Other then that, I love it. The coffee is nice and hot, there isn't any drippy mess while pouring your coffee.

We are delighted. Easy to load with coffee and water, easy to clean, fits comfortably on the counter under the cupboards. We make three to four pots a day, with fairly hard water. Needs cleaning every month or two.
Brands I'd also recommend: Cuisinart, Black and Decker

Unfortunately, we are returning this because the quality is not good at all. It is very "junky" and the front loading water / coffee compartment feels like it is going to fall off. Very disappointed, but I guess you get what you pay for.

This is my second Delonghi DCF212T. The best part about this coffee maker is the pull out feature for filling the coffee grounds and water as I have height restrictions between my counter top and upper cabinets. The other features are pretty standard. An improvement would be a lighted clock area. The black letters and gray background are not easily readable.

I have had this for two years, found a manufacture sticker in the water tank. It started coming off and it just floats in a bunch of pieces back there.

I love this coffee maker! I was looking for something that I didn't have to pull out from under my cabinet every time I wanted to make coffee. The reservoir to pour water into swings open to the side instead of lifting up, thus eliminating the need to slide the whole maker in and out from under my cabinets.

Worked great for about a year and then it got slower and slower even after several chemical cleanings and then the temp of the water got cooler and cooler and cooler. For something we did not use everyday just did not last long.

Overall this is a good product. We like that you don't have to pull the machine out from under the cabinets to make your coffee. Our only complaint is that this coffee doesn't really every get hot. We have to zap it in the microwave after it brews for 30 seconds to get the coffee up to temperature. For the money, it's a great product.

The best coffeemaker is the DeLonghi, but wouldn't you think it would be on the shelf in every department store? It isn't there, but it is on the Zappos site and it is super easy to get and the shipping is free, and on time! Zappos service is straight forward, efficient and leaves no room for improvement. Eventually this DeLonghi will wear out, and then I'll not waste time looking in the local stores. I know I will save time and energy by ordering again from Zappos.
