This is an awesome grill. I've had two George Formans and they just didn't do it for me. This is just like cooking outside on the grill. Big difference is that with blizzard conditions for the last several days (I live in the Midwest) going on I have grilled several times. It heats up fast and holds the heat - no smoke as long as I put water in the bottom pan. It smoked the first time I heated it, but that is natural. My husband had done the grilling in the past and now I'm doing it as I don't have to fool with the gas grill and keep running in and out. When it cools, I put the grill plate in the sink, wipe of the loose stuff with a paper towel lay a soaking wet dish cloth on it and let it stand for about an hour and it cleans up great. A real addition since I am doing the healthy heart cooking!
Brands I'd also recommend: This is the best I have used for indoors.

Living in NYC - it is hard to Barbeque - but this grill lets me grill indoors. Doesn't taste exactly like grilled over charcoal but really good. Grill cleans up pretty easily, but three pieces to clean each time so takes awhile. Overall - really happy with it.

I've used it a few times now and find it to be a pain to clean even when I use non-stick spray. It also doesn't seem to get as hot as a true grill does. I would not recommend it; disappointing purchase based on the other positive reviews I read.

I was looking for an indoor grill as it gets cold fast in the desert when the sun goes down, and something to cook fish on that doesn't lose half the fish in the grill. This grill is perfect, just a little water in the drip tray and no smoke, temp control works very good, I have cooked shrimp, salmon and chicken with perfect results every time. Cleaning is as easy as any grill of this kind, use a little cooking spray and clean up is warm water and a sponge. Very happy. Great quality.

Love the cover and easy clean. Not great for meat, cant' heat up higher than 450-470 degrees. Perfect for fish and vegetables.
