I bought these for my mom for work. They have nice, semi-firm cushions in them with arch support which really helps her feet. She likes them. We also couldn't be happier with Zappos's service. Within 4 days we had returned the Santa Fe (which ran too narrow across the forefoot) and received the Belmonts. Great service, good shoe. I also have to note the stitching on the shoe is some of the best I've seen. Just pull the insoles out, and there isn't a loose stitch anywhere.

First of all it Rosendo tears off your skin on your heel, while this shoe is really great for skating. They come in a variety of colors which make these shoes great, and the price is great too. The shoe laces are not small at all. The laces are not supposed to pass the logo on the top of the shoe. Sure you can tie them all the way to the top but they look better if you leave the top row uncovered.
Brands I'd also recommend: Supra, Circa, The Hundreds

Overall, I like these shoes and intend to get them again. I skate technical flatland and street course at the skate park. I like shoes that give me lots of board feel while still giving me good arch support. When I first received the Dekline Belmonts, the soles were so thin-feeling on the ball of the foot that I considered returning the shoes. However, the arch support and heel padding were so superior to other skate shoes that I decided to give them a try. I put a thin insole (the white perforated kind) in them to give me just a bit of padding on the ball of the foot. I then wore the shoes - but didn't skate in them - until they felt flexible enough to skate in. These are great skate shoes. With all of the other skate shoes I've worn (Vans, Supra, Ipath, Nike, Adidas, Zoo York, and Circa), I've had problems with turf toe. The Dekline shoes are the first shoes I've worn where my turf toe is starting to heel while still being able to skate. The Belmonts are great skate shoes, at least for the technical skating that I do. Once the sole is broken in, it grips the board better. The thin soles on the balls of the foot give great board feel, while the well-padded heels protect me from heel bruises. I can really tell that these shoes were designed by skaters. The shoes are wearing well. The canvas has developed a few spots on the sides from ollies and heel flips, but the toes are doing well on kick flips, with light wear on the top of the toe but with the vulcanized sides taking the brunt of the wear. The shoes are great for technical sessions on obstacles as well as flow sessions where there's lots of pushing between tricks on the line. The shoes did take about a week to break in before being skateable. I also considered the Converse CVO 3/4s but Zappos doesn't have them yet!

These are pretty great considering the material is canvas. There are a lot of layers including a fairly thick and stiff toe cap, so even after the canvas has worn, you've got a ways to go. The only complaint I have is that they don’t stretch out at all (because of the toe cap) so after skating for a few hours they feel pretty tight. Still good shoe though, Deklines are awesome.

I bought the green Belmont's and the shoe itself wasn't bad, just not what I was looking for. They’re great for flat land and have great board feel but the soles aren't nearly as nice as the Villains.
Brands I'd also recommend: Villains, and the Paxtons

I'm returning these. My teenage son liked the look, but the laces are so short and frustrating. Also, they run a bit narrow, and have no arch support. Not that we expected a lot in a skate shoe, but still for this price, they should be more comfortable.

I bought the green and brown version of these shoes. They look nice, grip nice to your board but they seem a little tipsy and I'm sitting at home right now with a pretty bad sprained ankle just from basic practicing. I also bough the Plaza mids in black and white, they're stroble midtops so they're naturally more stable but the quality and materials are nicer. I don't recommend these to skate in due to their needle toe shape+lack of flex, those things together make the shoe unstable. They feel like loose boxes in the right size. No arch support.

I do not recommend wearing these shoes past 5 minutes. They tear the skin off your heel after walking around casually. I even purchased thicker socks to see if that would help but it made a hole in those socks then tore more skin off.
