Ordered wide. They fit great and are comfortable. Excellent for Sundays, weddings or work!

In the past I would have rated this shoe 4 stars. Today I would rate it 1/2 star. The company making this shoe has cut corners and you should not expect this shoe to last more than two months at best. I purchased this shoe from Zappos two months ago and after one month of light wear the sole separated from the uppers. In addition, the leather has become increasingly thinner -- currently only a thin veneer of leather over a thin cloth backing. My recommendation -- save your money and buy a better shoe. However it is also possible that some of Zappos stock is counterfeit and you are purchasing a very cheap copy-cat shoe.

After just a few days the bottom liner has started to come loose. Defect or what, I don't know. But back you go. Love Zappos. Hate this slipper.

These shoes fit me perfectly and the price is easy on the wallet. I have not worn these shoes for very long, so I can not say anything about how well the shoes wear out. Just try to go to a brick and motor store and find a pair of dress shoes in this size at this price!

I really like the look of these shoes. Unfortunately, they were not very comfortable and had very little support. When I tried to replace the insole the shoe became very tight.

These shoes are ok, they have a weird smell, I got both the black and the brown because they were in expensive. The only thing I can relate the smell to is bacon, and not in a good way. At the end of the day your feet end up smelling a bit like bacon.

I bought these not knowing that they are simulated leather. The material creased dramatically the first day that I wore them and the shoes look terribly aged. I haven't even put them on a second day. Very light and comfortable, but terrible longevity.

This has always been my go-to shoe and a daily wearer. I've gone through three iterations now. The shoe would wear-in well and would be very comfortable. Each time, I would use the shoe until the heel would be worn and the sole would begin to separate. However, with the latest pair, I found that the sole started to separate far earlier, even as I have been walking much, much less. The tell-tale sign is that the when the separation began, the heel had very, very little wear. I believe the separation started happening around 6-8 months of owning the pair. I am therefore shopping for a different brand. Goodbye Deer Stags.

I looked at a lot of mens shoes and these seemed to be exactly the casual and everyday shoe I was looking for. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased. Will buy again if need be.

First off let me state that this review does not reflect my feelings about Zappos.com, they have been fantastic, helpful, friendly, and fast. Zappos gets five stars in my book. But these shoes are not up to the task. To start with, I have large feet -- size 14 3E. This makes it pretty darn hard to shop for shoes. Black Oxford dress shoes are pretty standard, yet even shopping online I have a total of 14 options to choose from in this category. I hoped that the Deer Stags Telegraph would be a decent, cost-effective option, but it seems I was wrong. Since buying a pair in February for a friend's wedding and then using them as work shoes starting in August about three times a week (I am a teacher) I have gone through two pairs, both with the same problem: the right heel separates from the shoe. To be clear, I am on my feet a lot, most of the day is spent walking, standing, and so on. I am a big guy and I know I put a lot of wear on my shoes, but the only thing I can think of that would wear the right heel out on a pair of shoes more than other parts is the fact that I drive with my right foot while the left is passive. Otherwise the two should wear out in similar (if opposing) patterns. If this had happened only once, I would say that I got a bad shoe and move on, but now it has happened twice, and I will be moving on to another brand in the same style (hopefully this time with a sewn-on sole). The shoes are not without merit. They were comfortable enough, moderately styled, and inexpensive (for which I am grateful as it makes the faults less disappointing). Based on my experience, however, I would not recommend them. The first pair was replaced at no cost to me by Zappos. I have not bothered to call for a second replacement because I don't think it is right to hold Zappos accountable for the low quality of these shoes any more than they already have. I intend to order my next pair from Zappos based on my great experience with their customer service.

Watch out - these are nothing at all like a true "3E" shoe. They are actually single "W" (as in 13W), identical to what you might find in that size at a Payless Shoes store, and with comparable quality. If you really need the 3E width, you will not be able to get your foot into these.

In person, the shoe does not look as nice as it does in the photo. It is not even patent leather, it is a foam that looks really cheap after the first time wearing them. There is also zero support in them. I would not suggest these to anyone.

This was my second pair, the first pair held up very well for work. This pair in less then 5 months has separated at the sole on both shoes as if they were both defective. 1/3 of the front of both shoes has separated!

Bought these for my husband who wears flip flops and socks as slippers. He loves them. And so do I!

Great shoe! Picked these up last winter and they lasted me a whole 6-7 months! Which is great for me as I am a salesman on my feet all day long, a lot of it outside. The padding inside does essentially feel like packing paper crumpled up, but hey it's an inexpensive shoe, and they are actually a lot more comfort than that description probably sounds! They also kept my feet warm during winter. Overall a great solid shoe very tough to beat for the price.

My feet are alive. These shoes are absolutely phenomenal. I use them for both church and work and they have me feel like I am walking on comfort ground with every step. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone. They are a great value for the price. Zappos, you have done it again. Thank you!

Great for a quick slipper, but didn't like as a house shoe. Since sides and back are open, my toes were warm and cozy but the sides and back of my foot remained cold. Definitely prefer a house shoe that covers the whole foot.

My first pair wore out after 6 years. This is my second pair. Fits great, looks good, great price for a wing tip dress shoe.

I am well pleased with these shoes and will so far as to say they are the most comfortable and most decent-looking pair I've worn in years. I had a pair of Deer Stags Tribunes for about four years, purchased in late summer 2007, in 'Raisin' color if you remember what that looks like and remembered how satisfied I was with those. The new shoes, in black, are a great fit right out of the box, so serious break-in time necessary. I wear them in the office and for casual use with jeans on the weekend as well. They are light, bendable and, most important, wide enough where it counts. I wear 11 1/2 triple E, which are hard to find. For the price you really can't go wrong. The shoes are true to size and make walking in them a pleasure. If, God forbid, something should go wrong with them in six months or a year, I'm only out the inexpensive price, big deal. I got lucky. My wife, she's got a wide foot, can't find anything she likes except leather sneakers. Not so lucky. And you, man, you haven't had a lucky day in your life. If you're looking for a very reasonably priced, comfortable wingtip that's not going to fall apart in your hands in five minutes, these are the shoes for you. But like I say, luck of the draw. Don't blame me if the shoes you buy are no good for you. Don't blame the shoe. It's all you, man.

I bought this shoe because it looks comfortable as I stand all day. It fits fine and looks okay. The dye on the back side of the toe cap has come off. So there is a white line of fabric between the toe cap and the rest of the body.
