I loved these boots but they were huge. They were probably a half size too big in the length and the calf was huge around. I ordered a medium (supposedly 14") and these were probably 3 inches too big around my calf. And I am not a skinny person. I'm disappointed because I really liked them, but they are going back.

I wore these for the first time to Thanksgiving dinner. They hurt so bad by the end of the night. They definitely need more cushioning in the ball of the foot. I will get an insert because these boots actually fit my 19.5" calves! Zipped up wonderfully! I normally wear a 10w but the wide was much too wide for me so I ordered the 10m which is a bit snug but better than the blisters I would get from swimming around in the 10w. So I am happy to have a boot that fits the calf but wish it was more comfortable and leather for this price. I guess I should just be happy that I can buy any boot that fits, right?!
Brands I'd also recommend: Yes for those, like me, who have 19" calves.

These are absolutely fabulous boots. I usually have trouble since I'm a regular width with a wide calf but not with these boots. They are comfortable, go on, and walk like a dream and I have received several compliments. I'm a fan.

Good-looking, soft leather, wide enough foot and calf; I really like these boots! The heel area in the footbed on one boot felt hard and like it had a bump running across it, but an inexpensive pair of gel shoe liners made both boots feel fine.

I love these boots. I have wider calves, and they fit perfectly. Plus they are extremely comfortable. I can wear them all day long! And they look great with a dress or with jeans.

These boots are great! I have 21" calves and they fit perfectly. I can even tuck my jeans into them. They are super comfortable too. I have been out walking and shopping all day in them and been fine until the very end. Also, I have a very high instep, and usually have a problem with boots being too tight, but these are loose and comfortable. Highly recommended!

I have really large calfs, even with a lot of weight lost and I have been on the hunt for knee high boots for a few years now. I ordered these in hopes and guess what? They fit! I am a size 9 and have a 19" calf. They are perfect. My outfit for Christmas is now complete and I can finally show off my weight loss! The first time I wore they they felt like they were already broken in, they are so comfortable!

I have really wide calves and these still worked (and looked great!). I've never been able to buy boots in the store..thanks Zappos! I gave these boots 4 stars only because I wish they would have come in a style that fit with a lower heel.

I love these boots, and if I said I love it I mean it. For me is very hard to find right pair of boots. My feet are size 5.5 but very wide and calf is wide too. This pair of boots from David Tate was perfect, I love them!
