- Your heel should be either even with or slightly forward of the back of the clog.
- Toes should not hit the front of the clog.
- Dansko's most traditional open-back style with lightly padded instep collar.
- High quality leather upper follows the natural contours of the foot.
- Oiled Leather is a heavily oiled, matte-finish leather with optimal pliability and moisture resistance. Oiled Nubuck has the same closely napped, silky feel as Nubuck, but with noticeably more oil tanned into the leather. Naturally occurring blemishes are slightly more visible in these tannages and suggest a more rugged appearance. Latigo leather has a smooth, tight grain and semi-gloss to transparent finish.
- Instep collar is generously padded.
- Roomy Thermoplastic toe box provides durable reinforcement and toe protection while allowing toes to move comfortably.
- Vegetable tanned leather sock lining allows the shoe to mold to the natural shape of the foot.
- Antimicrobial Poliyou® foam absorbs and evaporates perspiration for a healthy foot environment.
- Protective Polyethylene heel counter allows the heel to move up and down when walking. Also provides lateral stability and acts as a natural shoe horn.
- PVC inner frame provides stability and reduces torque and pronation.
- Polyurethane outsole provides shock absorption and flexibility, withstands surfaces of extreme heat and cold, and protects feet, legs and back during long hours of standing or walking.
- Rocker bottom propels the foot forward when walking.

This is an excellent shoe. I've been wearing this model for years and it's still the best out there - comfortable!

I bought this style clog 4 years ago and I've worn them almost exclusively ever since. They are that comfortable! I now need to replace them and I intend to by the same again. Once I am back in the US. I have never worn such a comfortable shoe! And, they last forever and can you believe it. 4 years plus.

I've recently changed careers and now instead of sitting at a desk all day, I am on my feet most of the day. These shoes were recommended by several of my peers and at first, I balked because they are pricey, so I tried a less expensive brand of shoe. By the end of most days, both my back and feet were killing me, and the shoes were falling apart. I finally decided to give these a try and wish I'd bought them years ago. My feet and back feel the best they have in years and these are my new favorite shoes. I just bought another pair of Dansko sandles in preparation for the summer. I highly recommend these shoes to everyone!

I love Dansko shoes for work! I stand for 8 to 9 hours a day at work and never have sore feet, sore legs or a sore back. I don't think they are the prettiest shoe to wear, but they still good with the dress clothes I have to wear to work. I've always bought the open back style. I highly recommend them if you stand at work.

These are very comfortable if you are on your feet all day. My knees used to hurt when I was on my feet all day and these shoes have stopped my knee pain. Wonderful arch support.

Danskos are the best. I still have a pair from AGES ago. If it were not suede and the suede looking a little tired, I would have not even needed another pair. They last forever. BUT this pair fit higher on the instep so I ended up having to go up a size. Love them! The comfort and quality cannot be beat.

This is my first pair on Danskos, and I have to say, they are absolutely fantastic. As a mammography technologist, I'm on my feet all day. My back pain, sore feet, and achilles tendonitis have all but completely disappeared. I normally wear a size 8, and the 38's fit well. At first, they seemed a little looser than what I'm used to (I wear two pairs of socks with them, but maybe my foot is a little on the narrow side). And I can't say enough about Zappos customer service. I wish all businesses were run the same!

This is not my first pair of Dansko\'s. I have a pair I have used to walk all around Europe, through the hills of San Francisco, and through a heavy downpour in Japan. You may need to figure out which size fits correctly, but once you do, you will wonder how you did without these shoes. And yes, go up one size up for the closed heel style. When my feet have gotten tired while wearing other shoes, I grab my Dansko\'s, and my feet instantly feel better. I was introduced to these shoes when I went to culinary school. I have not been without a few pairs ever since.

LOVE this clog, I am a nurse and on my feet for long hours, I need a serious shoe for work and this is truly THE ONLY SHOE I can wear without pain! No inserts, nothing it's very comfortable. Order down a size for the backless clog I'm a 38 but wear a 37 backless...am ordering another 2 pair with backs this month. Lets not forget Zappos...You are the best my clogs came in one day!!!! No kidding I never shop anywhere else; LOVE this company and when you call they are amazing, customer service extraordinaire!

My medical assistant. My work as a medical assistant requires me to be on my feet all day, therefore, I need a comfortable shoe with plenty of arch support. I find I have all that with this shoe.I am glad I got the shoe in "black", it does not show wear and tear. I will buy again.

Excellent - I love these shoes they are comfortable and true to size, as well as look great. I am very pleased with this product, and very pleased with this website. This is not the first time ordering from Zappos it is a great company. The shoes arrive quickly and if there is a problem with size they are so helpful in the return process.
