- High quality full-grain oiled leather upper follows the natural contours of the foot.
- Instep collar is generously padded.
- Roomy Thermoplastic toe box provides durable reinforcement and toe protection while allowing toes to move comfortably.
- Nonallergenic vegetable tanned leather sockliner wrapped around synthetic foam absorbs and evaporates perspiration.
- Protective Polyethylene heel counter allows the heel to move up and down when walking. Also provides lateral stability and acts as a natural shoe horn.
- PVC inner frame provides stability and reduces torque and pronation.
- Polyurethane outsole provides shock absorption and flexibility, withstands surfaces of extreme heat and cold, and protects feet, legs and back during long hours of standing or walking.
- Rocker bottom propels the foot forward when walking.

This is a wonderfully comfortable shoe. I am a teacher, and wore these new shoes today. They helped with my back pain. No break in time required. Just awesome right out of the box! The customer service at Zappos is great, as always. Thanks!

These shoes fit perfectly. There is lots of toe room and they are comfortable right out of the box. I love the green color! Zappos provided great service as always!

An extremely comfortable shoe. Highly recommend for anyone who is on their feet for along period of time. Also great for a short person, you might not need to hem up your pants. Expensive, but will last a lifetime.

I've been wanting to buy a pair of Danskos for a while, and I'm glad I did. They are very comfortable, and particularly nice for wearing with my handknit socks! I wore them to a fiber festival a few weeks ago, and after walking around on hard concrete floors for hours my feet felt fine.

Absolutely the right pick! I wanted a shoe for casual wear and for "casual Fridays" at work. I ordered this size and the larger size since I am between. I found this size was perfect for dress hose, cotton trouser socks, and even athletic socks. If you anticipate exclusively wearing thick wool socks (not me) then I recommend the next size up. Overall, love the oiled look. Goes great with jeans, dress pants, and even with cable knits hose/dress. Great to wear out of the box, but you may need some time to wear them in to get used to the natural slide and some stiffness in leather/toe box.

These Dansko shoes are wonderful. They are my 4th pair of Danskos. I love the deep red; perfect for black pants or a suit at work. Incredibly comfortable. My favorite shoes (besides Ferragamos).

These Danskos are a true lifesaver. I am currently in graduate school studying art education and I am on my feet constantly while student teaching. They are so comfortable and I can easily walk and stand for hours without ache. I love the shoes but the sizing has really been confusing. I am not savvy to European sizes so I have gone by the 11.5 to 12.5 for a 42 but the shoe is too small. This is the second time I have had to return. Free shipping is great, but I NEED MY PROPER FITTING SHOES! Thanks!
