I read the reviews about the comfort and sizing of the shoe so I thought it would be safe to order my known size. The shoes ended up being more narrow than I anticipated so I had to send them back. I will order a wider size in the future.

The first time I wore these shoes I loved them. In fact, I bought them because I got a new job. The first month I wore them I was in a sit-down training environment; however, recently I have started working out on the floor and I find these shoes to be downright painful! I work 12 hour shifts now and I rarely sit down and am constantly on the move. Once I actually started moving in the shoes, my back started to hurt from the lack of arch support and I have wide feet so they actually have created a terrible blister on my pinkie toes and on the outside of my big toes. It seems as though I am the only one who feels this say so maybe the only shoe that would be right for me is an athletic shoe? I am not sure, but these are not comfortable shoes for walking around all day and for those who have wide feet with high arches!

I have a pair of the Dansko clogs and love them, they fit true to size and I have worn them for 16 hours without my feet ever hurting. I needed to have black shoes for my new job and decided to go with a cuter style, but unfortunately they fit different. They are narrower in the toe box. They put pressure on the bones on the inside and outside of my foot (the part below the toes). I thought maybe they just took longer to break in than the clogs, but very fully broken in (and Dansko's usually require a very short break in) they still start to hurt after just 4 hours and after 8 hours I feel like I'm crippled. They look like they'd fit the same, they just don't.

I love Danskos, and these are super cute. I bought them because I wear orthotics and have high arches, so I don't fit into my clogs any more. I thought they would be perfect! I tried them on and they felt comfortable, I wore them around the house and they felt comfortable, so I wore them for a normal day. Unfortunately, when I was walking quickly as I usually do the edge of the opening in front started to rub the top of my foot. Pretty soon I had a hole in my skin. It only happened on my left foot, so it might be a peculiarity of how my foot is shaped. I am very disappointed because I love the way the shoes look. I'm going to have to give them away so I'm not tempted to wear them. Just be aware that the patent leather is stiff, so any little fit problems you might be prone to will be magnified.

If you have a high arch, these shoes are not for you! They are tight across the instep and arch. Otherwise, they are great shoes.

I ordered these shoes last year in the red and they are awesome. Just received the black and they are made different. It seems the quality has gone way down. They are not as comfortable. I'm going to try them to see if they stretch out a bit and if not, they will be going back. C'mon Dansko...keep the quality.
