If you are missing Dansko's Golden Gate collection, this comes very close. The toe box is very similar (being wide and round). The back does not rub my heel. The elastic helps the top fit comfortably over high arches. I always wear a 39 and the length fits great. These are lighter and more flexible than their standard clog base (so not quite as supportive or springy). I love them with jeans and skirts with tights.

I got these as a replacement for my Dansko clogs. I loved my clogs, but they aggravated my knee arthritis. This is a terrific replacement! They are lighter, more flexible, and the soles have less of a heel than my clogs and they don't cause my heels to lift during walking. They also fit more securely on the foot yet are easy to slip on and off. I'm ordering a second pair in black today. If you have an issue with clogs, give this shoe a try!

These shoes fit great and are very comfortable. The typical Dansko comfort, support and quality that I love and am so loyal to! Unfortunately they do not look feminine enough for me. They look clunky and masculine. My husband thinks they're cute, but said they do look like the Duck Boots Lands End or LL Bean sells. It's too bad because I intended to wear them for work but they just don't look professional enough for a woman. I wish Dansko would make a feminine shoe with a nice platform base (similar to the clog base) where a full 1" platform extends out to the toe for extra height. (Similar to the "Munro American Bravo" shoe). Dansko used to have a really attractive shiny loafer with this substantial platform sole years ago called the "Megan" but sadly it was discontinued and not replaced with a similar feminine platform shoe. Bummer.

I have very wide feet and back problems. I needed a shoe for work that looks profession, has enough height that my slacks don't drag the ground, and no "heel" that will mess up posture. This shoe is great! the elastic allows it to accommodate my wide foot and it's just flat comfortable without being flat.

I wanted to replace some old sport Danskos that I wore out over a number of years. I like a shoe with a heel that fits and doesn't slip. Unlike most Danskos, this shoe hugs the heel! The side elastic allows for the slip-on feature while the padded leather at the top front and heel provide a snug fit. I love these shoes; I can walk and/or stand in them all day and had no break-in period. While not all that stylish, they make up for it in comfort. The footbed molds to your natural arch and the width and toe area is roomy.

These shoes/ boots are wonderful! Lighter than boots, warmer and more weatherproof than shoes, they are a great choice for those needing something in between. I purchased them for a trip to rainy areas and they were perfect!

Love this shoe! Have had a knee replaced & have issues with the other knee & have had serious foot surgery so finding a comfortable classy shoe is a challenge - this shoe is a find!

With severely arthritic knees, I had to get rid of my heels. My doctors recommended Danskos and I am now a happy convert. Granted these are not a very feminine shoe, but they fit the bill for a run around, outdoorsy shoe that is sturdy and comfortable. A shoe store recommended that I buy Danskos in a size larger than I normally wear. This advice has worked well. If the shoe is a teensy bit loose, I simply add the foam sole inserts and I am good to go. Fortunately, Dansko makes "heels", boots, and more feminine shoes. I was a Born devotee, now my feet are devoted to Dansko.

I'm wearing the Kappy to replace the Dansko Professional. I have wide feet and a high instep, and even the wide DP hurts over the instep. The Kappy is very comfortable for me; I can wear it all day with no discomfort at all. Great support, good on cement floors. I wear them with jeans.

My sister who works in a hospital recommended Dansko for keeping your feet happy. Tried one of their clogs, but they kept falling off my feet (high arches) and are NOT good for going up and down stairs. So I took a chance and got this style. The Kappy is excellent and you can wear this shoe for those days when you will be on your feet all day. Not a great looking shoe, but my feet like them. Got them in green just to keep it interesting. Excellent arch support and really comfy!
