This "Jess" sandal is a worthy addition to the Dansko line and I am looking forward to wearing them as soon as the weather gets warm. At first glance they do appear to be heavy but they are rather lightweight which translates for me as something that is not going to weigh down my feet on a hot summer day. As soon as I slipped them on I felt the classic Dansko support as if I had just put on the their professional clogs. The ankle strap is, of course, adjustable as are the top two straps across the foot which makes the sandal that much more comfortable. The silver tone 'buttons' are very cute and because they are not shiny add a bit of style to the overall appearance. I do not think they are frumpy or clunky. Bought them in my usual clog size of 37 and they fit perfectly, width was also good in medium and bought them in the black nappa because I did not like the patent leather in this style. Glad I picked them up as soon as I saw them, I think they are going to be a popular item for spring and summer.

It is very hard to find sandals with the moderate arch support. The support fits me very well. The style is very nice also. However, I can feel the metal base of the first strap and the snap locations for the following straps feel pretty hard. So it is not very cozy to wear it.

Love them! Even though they don't have the same feel as my other pair of Dansko's. I had a serious accident and needed low to the ground and heeled shoes. These fit the bill perfectly!

I've had two foot surgeries in the past year. I have tried on ALOT of types of "comfort sandals" this season, and the Dansko Jess are the only ones that work for my feet. They are very comfortable, have a padded foot bed and a stiff sole that is good for walking.
I'd also recommend: naot

This sandal is amazing! It fits perfectly and I love the adjust-ability of the individual straps. I wore them 12 hours the first day with no break in discomfort. Additionally, they are so cute- I received tons of compliments. Highly recommend!
