- Dansko's most traditional open-back style with an adjustable buckle strap that still takes on the critical roll of providing comfort to those in the nursing, hospitality and other occupational fields.
- Your heel should be either even with or slightly forward of the back of the clog and your toes should not hit the front of the clog.
- Fully convertible heel strap allows wear behind the back of heel or across instep, your choice!
- High quality leather upper follows the natural contours of the foot. This is a heavily oiled, matte-finish leather with optimal pliability and moisture resistance.
- Instep collar is generously padded.
- Roomy Thermoplastic toe box provides durable reinforcement and toe protection while allowing toes to move comfortably.
- Nonallergenic vegetable tanned leather sockliner wrapped around synthetic foam absorbs and evaporates perspiration.
- Protective Polyethylene heel counter allows the heel to move up and down when walking. Also provides lateral stability and acts as a natural shoe horn.
- PVC inner frame provides stability and reduces torque and pronation.
- Polyurethane outsole provides shock absorption and flexibility, withstands surfaces of extreme heat and cold, and protects feet, legs and back during long hours of standing or walking.
- Rocker bottom propels the foot forward when walking.

I have buying Danskos for years am on my feet all day at work. It seems to me the arch support keeps diminishing. Will have to start shopping other brands.

Crippling - These shoes feel fine for about 30 minutes. After that my feet hurt like crazy. My insteps begin to cramp and won't stop until I take the shoes off. If I try to wear them for a whole day, I end up shuffling and limping.

I purchased this shoe to replace the identical shoe in same size. Oddly, these shoes were too small. No worries, exchanging for a size larger - maybe sizing changed. That is what I love about Zappos - easy exchange and quick delivery!

After so many years of teaching Dansko is about the only shoe I wear. I had a pair of red Ingrids and love them so much I bought this pair of brown ones this year and they are beautiful and very comfortable.
I'd also recommend: ECCO

Bought these to replace same style from about 10 or more years ago when soles finally wore out. These are good looking and comfortable. My old ones had a blonder sole with brown uppers instead of black soled like these but they are still cute. I am on my feet all day at my job and they are worth the money- no breaking in period.

I have narrow feet and can sometimes get by with a B width. I had to send these back because my feet flopped all around. I would have kept them if they were narrower. They are very cute but not recommended for narrow feet!

I had three pairs of comfortable Dansko sandal type shoes, which were comfortable, so I ordered the mules in size 38. I really wanted to like them, but since I have really high arches / instep, they are painful to wear and rub on the bone on the top of my feet. If you have high arches, these may not work for you. Perhaps they need to be stretched a little bit, but I find that the leather does not seem to have enough give in it in this design.
