I wish it was... I am an avid Dansko Professional wearer, and I was really looking forward to trying this shoe. I first wore the Professional when I was an intern, and it was (once I got used to it) amazing. My feet didn't kill me after a day running around in the hospital. I recently ordered the Cutter and I couldn't find a pair that fit my feet well. They were much higher along the sides and would cut into my ankle with each step. When I tried larger sizes, they were even looser than my Professionals!

My Feet are Happy!! This is a very comfortable shoe! I can't wear shoes longer than a few hours without my feet hurting. With the Dansko Cutter, I don't want to take them off! My feet feel better with them on! I have a pair of Professionals and there is no comparison in the comfort dept. Cutters win hands down!! And Zappos rules!!

Comfortable Shoe - Good arch support, comfortable, cushy insole. I am on my feet for sometimes 12 hours a day. First work shoe I can wear all day everyday and my feet never hurt. I would recommend this shoe to anyone.

The Best Shoe - I bought this men's shoe because the women's version Cho was no longer available. Luckily they seem to be more or less the same shoe. I wear my Chos every day in the winter months. I am a life skills teacher for high school kids with disabilities and I am on my feet all day at work. The support from this shoe is phenomenal and I never want to wear any of my other shoes, of which there are many! Total thumbs up!

Podiatrist review - Excellent shoe for person with flat feet and related foot strain issues. I would like to see this type of shoe made in different colors with a less clog style look, the oxford tie style was a very supportive shoe but very unattractive. I highly recommend this shoe to patients with flat foot problems.
Other Brands Recommended by Reviewer: motion control shoe with orthotics, orthotics not used with the dansko

Clog for dudes - Everyone wears Dansko clogs in the ER for reducing foot fatigue during 12 hours of standing and sitting. Only problem is that the "Professional" model looks like I have a slender high heel on. That one also takes a while to learn how not to break your ankle. These are much better, wider at the heel, and a little more masculine.

Comfortable, durable, but too hot for summer - My pair is in many respects the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They seem to massage your feet as you walk. Judging by some of the negative comments, maybe some quality control problems with some pairs, but mine have excellent arch support. I must point out here that I have relatively high arches and am hard to please on this point, so I'm not sure what's going on with the people who say otherwise. Other than the utilitarian appearance, the biggest negative is that they are too hot in warm weather, but they make a good winter clog, and are bulletproof...I've had mine for a year and a half, wear them most everyday including rugged outdoor treatment, and everything is still totally solid...just normal tread wear.

Underwhelming to an extreme degree - I have flat feet, so finding shoes that feel genuinely comfortable while standing on hard surfaces is difficult at best. I had high hopes for these given the amount of devoted raving that goes on over the Dansko brand, but they honestly feel no better than your average $20 department store loafer, and I find myself burdened with a surfeit of pity for those who honestly claim that these are the most comfortable shoes they've ever worn; y'all must've grown up wearing Kleenex boxes or something. Arch support is minimal and there is zero resilience in the sole, so you're going to get the full force of every strike in your knees and all the way up your hip. Wearing them in the kitchen is honestly more painful than standing on the cold tile barefoot and I personally couldn't take more than 10 minutes of Dansko brand comfort before kicking them off. Since these are not issues that are likely to improve with further "breaking in" and there is not enough room for a supplementary orthotic, mine are going back tomorrow. Lots of visibly glued seams to boot, so I doubt they would last long enough for you to get your $124 worth of use out of them.

Too tight - run small - Simply too tight and binding across the top, even with sizing up one size. Might try even a larger size. To be returned. 9 1/2 foot does not work with 44. Too bad only one width offered.

TOP-NOTCH QUALITY - With a history of very serious foot problems I had searched high and wide for a shoe that I could wear at all, spending a small fortune in the process. My niece told me about this shoe and I tried them for the first time. I'm extremely happy with them; quality, comfort and all. I had searched for several years, but this is the RIGHT shoe for me, and I believe it would help others who have foot problems as well.

Nice shoes - Just wore out my Dansko professional after close to 2 yrs of surgical residency. Just got the Cutter yesterday. I think these shoes are way more comfortable than the professional, look better, and the leather has a better quality feel. Right out of the box, they were ready to wear. I did not have to break them in as I had to with the professionals. I'm very satisfied. Nice shoes.

The Dansko Cutter is a great replacement for the Dansko Sport Clog. My husband bought the black and brown version because its that comfortable for all the walking he does all day.

Pro Chef - They need to be broken in. Takes about 3 weeks (on feet 60+hours/week). Starting to feel more comfy. Non slip isn't as good as SFC. Have to be a little more careful on certain surfaces. Over all feet are happier.

Cutter - Great support and comfort. Helps with fatigue, in knees and feet. Shoes aren't too heavy, but a little chunky. Price is only downfall. Service was second to none. Clog look is still pretty evident, but not as bad as professional model. Lost first pair of Danskos. This is second pair. Like the cutters better in looks than the professional. Both feel nice on feet.

Very Happy With Purchase - I bought this shoe for my husband. He was not crazy about the look of the shoe online. However, once he received the shoes and tried them on, he loved the comfort and actually really likes the style. He covers the international finance markets during the night and wears this shoe to work and to just run around town.

Very Comfortable Show, Not the Sturdiest - I purchased a pair of the Dansko Cutter shoes for work. I work in a high volume kitchen in a family dining restaurant. These shoes are very comfortable. They ended all my foot and back pain from being on my feet in the kitchen. However, they are not very sturdy. There was noticeable wear to the tread in a few days. The leather was easily cracked and scratched in a few days. Most importantly they are not very slip resistant. I experienced the worst work related injury I have ever had while wearing these shoes. I slipped on the line and caught myself with one hand on the flat grill. I received 2nd degree burns to my right hand. I have worn inexpensive work shoes with better slip resistance. I feel that depending on your work environment that these shoes present a trade off of safety vs. comfort.

It has its pluses and minuses - Good look, great for people with flat feet, although the pain from my FF has not stopped yet. But feels better than any other shoes for that purpose. Very tight around the tops of my feet, sometimes it even causes pain.

Great shoe!! Extremely comfortable! Dansko has a reputation among surgeons and others who have to stand for long periods of time. It's "rocker" type sole keeps pressure off the balls of you feet. Very roomy toebox. I usually wear a 44 in Birkenstocks, but 45 in Danskos felt better. I bought a pair in both sizes, and thanks to Zappos's wonderful shipping policy, I returned the pair that did not fit. Keep up the good work!

He's a convert - Sent these to my son at culinary school because we could no longer find his "anti-skid" Birkenstock London’s. He wanted confirmation he could send them back if he didn't like them, because he doesn't like the regular Dansko clogs. On the day they were delivered, I received an email telling me he "loves the shoes!!!" He said they're a little snugger than the Birks, so he can't wear his thick hiking socks, but they were super comfortable, even on the first day.

Foot Massaging Clog! This is the most comfortable slip on shoe I have ever worn. It literally pushes on pressure points on my feet that feel like a foot massage. This is a very attractive and overall awesome shoe.
