My mother is 94 and lives in an assisted-living facility, using a walker to get around. She suffers from hammertoes and the residual effects of several broken bones sustained in falls over a number of years. Mom had gradually quit wearing shoes because they were painful to put on, and insisted on wearing backless slippers which the staff considered dangerous because they offered no stability and caused her to shuffle. These slippers solved both problems, and she and her care staff are very happy with them.

I bought these slippers for my mother in an assisted living. Sometimes her feet swell a bit and these were perfect with the Velcro that allows them to be adjusted looser. She loves them.

This product has been perfect. The fit is great, true to size, very thick terry cloth and well made. An excellent slipper. I needed something that was wide enough for my mom's foot. She is in a wheelchair, and her feet swell.

Bought these slippers for mom and she really likes them. She wears a 12WW so most slippers are too tight in the toes. Not these. Ideal for spring, summer and early fall. Although if you buy them a little larger you could wear socks with them.

I love my slippers. It's hard to find slippers that are this comfy. You can adjust the fit (which I have trouble with neuropathy in my left foot). They are washable, easy to put on, and soft as all get-out. I was tickled to find them since none of the stores carry them. Thanks so much.

I was very pleased and surprised to find that these have a nice firm sole. I need something with an open toe and a back, and these work great with my Birkenstock inserts. I need an arch support, and these slippers have none - but I knew that, and bought them because with the Velcro they'll fit my feet better with the insert. Very comfortable and soft. Love the firmer sole - not like a shoe, but more firm than I expected, and that's a good thing.

I purchased the Daniel Green Tara for my elderly grandmother. She was finding her leather slippers problematic due to increased mobility problems. The Tara's were perfect, and she really liked being able to adjust the toe according to how her feet felt that day. As it turned out, she had to be hospitalized a week later. My grandfather remarked how great it was to have the Tara's because he could easily put them on her while she was in the hospital bed. I have never heard so many thanks for giving someone house shoes!

I bought the Tara slippers for a friend who needed slippers for a hospital stay. She cannot find footwear locally in size 11D to fit. The open toe and adjustable velcro flap allow for variations in sizing sometimes found among different manufacturers, and she says they fit fine. I had to remind her to push her heel back as far as it would go before adjusting the flap because the elastic at the back of the heel was new, leaving some gap at the heel sole. Another plus is these slippers are washable.

I love these slippers. My mother used to wear Daniel Greens and I had not found them locally. These are just what I needed. I like the ability to adjust the width over the wide part of my foot, and having an enclosed heel helps me keep them on. I did add an additional arch support since I needed it following foot surgery.

I purchased these slippers for my mother who is in a nursing home. She has problems with balance and swelling in her feet and ankles. The staff loves these because they stay firmly on her feet (unlike mules), they have non-skid soles and the band across the instep is adjustable. They also are very soft on her feet and machine washable. A great choice for her circumstances, she loves them.

This brand has been around for many years so I felt confident buying these slippers. I wasn't disappointed! They're lovely, cozy, comfy, easy to get in and out of, but nicer for Summer, Spring and Fall with the open toe! Love the Lavender color! Since I can't wear slippers that flop, these feel so safe to walk in. Perfect for anyone afraid of falling. I bought another pair of slippers in a different style for winter and will write a review on those soon; also great! Zappos will be my place for shoes, slippers, boots, forever! What incredibly fast shipping, overnight! Thanks Zappos!

Slippers are great for problem feet. The hook and loop closure in the front is great for adjusting fit for anyone, particularly those with problems with their feet and because of that you do not have to have two perfectly matched feet. Who does? One can be made tighter than the other, and they can be washed.

I purchased these slippers as a gift for my Mother. Due to an accident, she required slippers with a full back so they don't slip off her foot, plus she enjoys the open toe. This was a difficult task; however, these slippers fit her desires to a "T". They are easy to slip on and offer her the comfort that she needs.

I love these slippers. They are what I have wished for for a long time. They are soft, easy to slip into in the dark, and yet fitting enough in which to safely descend stairs. They are feminine, which is hard for elephant-sized-feet people to find. Although I haven\'t yet washed them, I am delighted that they are also washable, since I wear them without socks. \r\n

This is the perfect slipper for my 91-year old Aunt. The velcro opening allows her flexibility if her foot acts up and she needs to wear a wrap. Having a heel makes for a more secure fit with less likelihood of tripping. She\'s received comments from others at her residence about where to find the shoe. Zappo\'s, of course!
