Popular Dance Aerobic shoes

No cushion in the ball of the foot. Is maybe fine for beginner zumba. Not good for jumping around. Too large in the toe box, a size too big. Ankles and knees hurt afterwards. If you are just doing basic salsa moves these are probably fine. Anything intermediate, do not get these. Hope they accept returns for this reason even after use. I have a wide foot and foot was sliding all over the place inside. If I saw these before buying I probably would have passed.

So incredibly comfortably I'm wearing them around the house. Better yet, they're cute. It's more than the color, it's a nice form factor. Not too bulky like some sports shoes, trim and super light yet with excellent arch support. I want another pair! Without socks I'm almost always a size 9, but these run small so I bought the size 10.
Not very supportive for zumba shoes. Also not suitable for a narrower foot as the toe puckers when you lace them tightly and pokes the top of your toes.

This was a tough call. I purchased these primarily as a cute and versatile walking shoe for travel, planning to wear the ballet flat part by itself in airports, and add the insert and/or ribbons depending on the look I wanted for the various vacation days. I am generally a 7.5 or 8, and I went for an 8 in these. The insert part feels good. I had purchased the first version of these a few years ago and the hole for the big toe was too tight, but they have fixed that in this version. So, that was good; putting on the ballet flat over top of the insert was great. Using the ribbon was fine. However, the ballet flat portion by itself was big in a weird way. Presumably because of the elastic, my foot moved all the way up so my toes were bumping the front edge (but not uncomfortably), but there was 1" of space behind my heel! I was able to scoot my heel back into the proper part of the shoe (now leaving 1" of space at the toe, of course) but as soon as I started walking, my foot slid up into the toe part again. Since half or more of my wear was intended to be ballet flat by itself, I will be returning these. If they let you go through airports in the inserts I would have kept them! Or if they came in lime green.

I ordered a size 8 based on other reviews that said these run large in the toe box! They do not run large! I normally wear a size 8 in street shoes and 8.5 in sneakers. These run like Ryka's and you need to go up 1/2 size from your street shoe size. My toe was hitting the top of the shoe in the 8's. I will have to return and probably go with the Zumba Energy Rush high tops since they would stay on my feet better since I have a narrow heel and tend to slip out of shoes. Otherwise these were nice looking and probably good for Zumba though I think one might need arch insert if you do a higher impact workout. Personally, I also preferred the "feel" of the Zumba Energy Rush style.
