I bought this backpack for my fiance, his favorite color is green and he's been wanting a Dakine. Zappos helped me get it at a decent price and shipping was free! He loves his backpack. Great size, design, and color.

Holy pockets! Got this bag for my brother. If he doesn't dig it, I certainly will! Great backpack. You'll be able to stash things you never dreamed you could!

This pack is great. I am a student and it works great, fits way more stuff and I approve of the laptop sleeve. I also like the fact that I can still haul my board around. The only gripe about it, is that it does look pretty fat. But I'm happy.

I purchased two of these backpacks at the same time. My husband and I travel a great deal and finally came to the realization that a backpack is a much better option than carry-on luggage. We returned from a recent trip where we used the backpacks and loved them. They have small outside sippered compartments for keys, glasses, wallets, etc. The large main compartment will accomodate our 17'' laptop and the smaller compartment has additional interior zippered sections as well as other storage options.. Both of us highly recommend this product. We purchased two other cooler backpacks from Zappos about a year ago for hiking (also Dakine). The brand provides high quality and value for the price point. Even petite ladies, such as me, can adjust the straps for a comfortable fit.

About Dakine
DaKine moved their manufacturing and operations to Hood River, OR in 1986; besides being a popular windsurfing location on the mainland, it´s also a gathering place for the best professional snowboarders looking to ride on Mt. Hood. In 1989, after proving themselves as leaders in surf accessories, gear, and bags, DaKine committed to the rapidly expanding snowboard market with board accessories, board bags, and gear bags. By using their commitment to unique designs, high quality, and the desire to stay true to the spirit of the sport, the company would become the world leader in this market over the next 15 years.
Throughout the 1990s, DaKine moved into the snowsports glove category with a modest three styles, and has now expanded that line to close to 70 models today. In 1996, DaKine introduced the Heli Pack, which helped create the new category of minimalist technical backcountry day packs. In 1998, DaKine sought to surpass the Heli Pack and introduced the Heli Pro. In a short time, the Heli Pro becomes the standard for technical daypacks as well as the sport's best selling (and most copied) model. Also around this time, DaKine moved into skate specific packs, such as the Park Pack, which quickly became known for its innovation and durability.
A true leader in the world of bags, packs, and accessories, DaKine has also built a reputation in the travel category, whether it is board sport specific carriers or luggage. After celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2004, DaKine continues to pride itself on developing products for the top professionals in every board sport and building its reputation for innovation and quality for over a quarter of a century.

Very cute and comfortable backpack. It's youthful and colorful. The only compliant I have is it's small. A shirt and a pair of shoes and it's full. If you are a pack rat like me, this is not the backpack for you.

Perhaps the best backpack I have owned. I ride a motorcycle, and this stays secure even on the freeway. The material is very rugged and the inside is coated for water resistance. There is fuzzy lining in almost all of the pockets. Zippers are well made with double stitched seams. The backpack sits higher and distributes the weight evenly across shoulders and upper back and is comfortable for all day use. Highly recommended.
Brands I'd also recommend: Dakine, Dakine, and ummmm Dakine

This is the second Dakine backpack I have purchased for my son. It's the only one he'll carry. The first backpack lasted his entire 4 years of high school and this one will help him through his next 4 years of college. Very durable, very cool ( his words) and practical.

Great bag! Very rugged and spacious but if you plan on toting a 15-inch laptop and books for school I would go with a bigger bag. If you store a laptop forget about keeping your glasses in the backside fleece lined pocket. It can do it but it's quite a squeeze. Love the looks received a lot of compliments.
