DaKine moved their manufacturing and operations to Hood River, OR in 1986; besides being a popular windsurfing location on the mainland, it´s also a gathering place for the best professional snowboarders looking to ride on Mt. Hood. In 1989, after proving themselves as leaders in surf accessories, gear, and bags, DaKine committed to the rapidly expanding snowboard market with board accessories, board bags, and gear bags. By using their commitment to unique designs, high quality, and the desire to stay true to the spirit of the sport, the company would become the world leader in this market over the next 15 years.
Throughout the 1990s, DaKine moved into the snowsports glove category with a modest three styles, and has now expanded that line to close to 70 models today. In 1996, DaKine introduced the Heli Pack, which helped create the new category of minimalist technical backcountry day packs. In 1998, DaKine sought to surpass the Heli Pack and introduced the Heli Pro. In a short time, the Heli Pro becomes the standard for technical daypacks as well as the sport's best selling (and most copied) model. Also around this time, DaKine moved into skate specific packs, such as the Park Pack, which quickly became known for its innovation and durability.
A true leader in the world of bags, packs, and accessories, DaKine has also built a reputation in the travel category, whether it is board sport specific carriers or luggage. After celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2004, DaKine continues to pride itself on developing products for the top professionals in every board sport and building its reputation for innovation and quality for over a quarter of a century.

Bag was just what we were looking for. Held my husband's insulin, glasses and wallet while we were on vacation. Slim design made it virtually unnoticeable. Great service from Zappos!

This hip pack has plenty of room to hold the things you need plus some extras. I use this when going to Cedar Point Amusement Park so I don't have to be bothered with a purse. This makes for a good time. I know where everything is and nothing is going to fall out while on rides. The belt on this is long enough to fit a larger waist and still be comfortable.

I did not calculate the volume that would be available given the dimensions in the description. However, the description could have provided the volume, as I have seen with other such products, which might have prompted me to check the volume of the old fanny pack I needed to replace. This one is too small for my wallet, phone, cash and keys, which is what I usually carry when I wear a fanny pack. The keys jangle against each other, so you can always hear me coming. The old one somehow was not as noisy as this one is. The pack appears to be well constructed, but I will never use it enough to find out.

Basic, low-profile functionality and just what I was looking for. Seems extremely durable, too.

My wife needed a new belly bag (fanny pack) but all the ones we saw were too large, or their waist-bands were too long. She's just barely 5 feet tall, and under 100 pounds. I saw this one advertised here, and took a chance that it was the right one for Eliza. She loves it! Uses this thing all the time when she doesn't have to dress up, so to speak. Thanks, Zappos!
