At first I was upset that the processor would not turn on. There was nothing in the instruction book about this problem. I took a look at the plastic cover on the feeder and it says do not operate without the top portion hooked on. Well, what do you know, the power went on. I just wish Cuisinart had mentioned that in the instruction booklet or DVD. I watched it twice. Maybe I missed that detail. I bought this processor because another one I bought would not work, either. I think I'll check the other one out and use as a backup or use it if 2 are required.

I recently purchased this as a gift for my daughter since I have the 7 cup and love it! She originally had a 3 or 4-cup that she would have to split recipes in half to complete. She uses her 9 cup just about every day and is absolutely thrilled with its performance. She is getting ready to start making baby food for her daughter and is looking forward to the capacity handling the job without having to cut the recipe in half resulting in time savings.

Great product! Don't waste money on a cheaper food processor. Comfort and style don't apply but ease of use and how well it processes food certainly rate 5 stars.
Brands I'd also recommend: None. For food processors this is the best.
