The grinder is extremely well build, and does its job excellently. It is much easier to empty the ground coffee if you use a coarser setting. Using too fine of a setting seemed to increase static cling to the plastic, causing grounds to get all over the place when emptying it out.

The Cuisinart burr mill does a great job. It may be a little noisy, but that lasts less than a minute. I would highly recommend it. Also, the Zappos team is amazingly fast and extremely helpful. If only all businesses could be run like Zappos!

Excellent and convenient mill. After you figure out the equivalent in their cups to how strong you like your coffee, you never have to measure again. Noisy!
Brands I'd also recommend: Chemex coffee maker and filters

This grinder grinds unevenly, is loud and develops a lot of static so grounds and chaff fly all over the counter every time. It is a good price but over time way annoying.
Brands I'd also recommend: Baratza Maestro or Maestro Plus

The body of this coffe bean grinder is solid and it does a very good job of grinding a fair amount of beans. However, the plastic piece that fits into the grinder is cheap and cracked in over half a dozen pieces after grinding only 5 pounds of beans. Cuisinart normally uses better materials and I was surprised they used such a cheap grade of plastic. Finding a replacement part is proving to be difficult and it might be cheaper in the long run just to buy a new grinder.

Loved the convenience of setting the number of cups and how fine I wanted it to grind, push the button and with a very loud sound it produced the just the correct amount and with consistent grind. the 2 biggest cons were the static causes a mess in the kitchen with every use and after 13 months of use (at only 1 pot a day) it came to a grinding halt. What stinks is the grinder we bought this as a replacement for is still going (it had a broken button but still worked). I thought Cuisinart was supposed to be top shelf?!

We liked this coffee grinder at first until it suddenly started only working part time when you would hit the grind button and then totally stopped working after only using it a few times a week for about 2 years. My father in law also had on for a year or so and the plastic piece that connects the coffee holder to the grinder broke. Before that is also had started to not work sometimes when you tried to grind the coffee. Seems like Cuisinart did not use the best of materials for this grinder. I expected to have this grinder for years! It looks like a really nice grinder but save your money for something better!

I've had this grinder for 3 years & am now on my second grinder. The timer gave out on the first one way to fast but because of my almost immediate addiction to the taste & ease of fresh ground coffee every morning I was inspired to buy again. I haven't been disappointed. Try Kauai Coffee from Hawaii.

I had this grinder for 2 years and this morning it smelled of burning plastic and stopped working. It is very loud and needs a good tap on the counter to remove the grounds but produces a nice grind on the medium course setting. I would have expected a longer life.

We had previously owned a coffee grinder exactly like this. It met it's match after 3 or 4 years use every day and so we needed to purchase a new one. When we shopped around online Zappos popped up and so we bought one through their website and it arrived a couple of days later. So far so good! Thanks Zappos!
