Don't purchase this product. It is very dangerous. When you remove the plate from the base, the coils are exposed! You can burn your fingers. It is very easy to do! I did it! And was off for 2 weeks with serious 2nd degree burns!

I own two of these poppers. Why, you say, because I don't ever want to be without one and just in case it is discontinued. This is the best Cuisinart product ever. I also use coconut oil to pop the kernels.
Brands I'd also recommend: This brand is the topper of the poppers.

I have noticed that it pops the most during the first batch when you add the popcorn and it is still cold. If you try the second batch it only pops like 1/4 of the kernals. You need to let it cool down for 10 minutes between batches. Love Love being able to place the greasy parts in the dishwasher.

I have had this since last Christmas and I cannot begin to tell you how great it is! We use it all the time. Yes, it's hot when you flip the popcorn into the bowl, but to me that would be obvious.
