I bought this item because i liked the idea of one base for two purposes. Cuisinart is also a dependable brand. I love it so far! One drawback for me is that the food processor size is too small for bigger/standard cooking endeavors and I will have to buy a big one as well. It was recommended to me by a chef to get a small one and a large one anyway, so no biggie.

I got this item as a gift otherwise I probably wouldn't own it. At first I didn't think I would use it often but I use it 4-5 times a week. I love that it serves as a blender and as a food processor. This product comes highly recommended from this household.

For two years I used a small four-cup Cuisinart food processor and I burned it out. I thought about getting the same one and then thought it would be smart to invest in something with a little more power. I am very happy with this product. It not only has the great feature of being both a blender and food processor, but it can also handle whatever I throw into it (even a frozen banana by itself for a healthy frozen yogurt).

Bought for making baby food and can use when he outgrows purees. Easy to use, clean and doesn't take up as much space because of the shared bottom unit.
