I really wanted to love this bag - the expandable roll-top design is pretty great and aesthetically it's the sort of minimalist functional thing I love. BUT, it did not actually fit the massive 15" work laptop I am required to travel with without quite the struggle, and the floppyiness of the roll-top area would have made quick laptop removal/repacking pretty difficult in an airport security-type setting (which is what I'll be doing very very often). This bag is more floppy than structured - which I actually like in a general bag - but for computer transport it doesn't work so well. If I needed a more all-purpose bag like other reviewers have mentioned, I'd love this bag. But sadly, it didn't fit my specific purpose, so back it goes.

Perfect backpack! I travel a lot and had not been able to find a pack that would fit under the seat on a plane while still having enough space for my stuff while also making me feel safe with the amount of padding provided. Well, search no more for me! I have several Waterfield bags, a few Timbuk2 bags and this by far is my favorite to take with me on trips. Looks good, and gets the job done without sacrificing space.

Stylish luggage but that is where it ends, and here's why: 1.) The shiny finished was absolutely un-shiny after one trip overseas, it's scratched so easily and looks absolutely awful, the red straps are really dirty and the luggage now looks cheapy. 2.) The zippers are not smooth, I have a Samsung luggage of similar size and pricing and the zippers are way better. 3.) The handle jammed after one trip and I can no longer raise the handle, have to push the luggage without the handle now. Overall: Stylish, horrible quality.

Great bag! The color is more vibrant/bold than what I see on my screen. I thought it wouldn't be as wide - was looking for a tall/skinny bag - but now I can put things in vertically and horizontally. The zippers stick a little bit on the sides when they are fully open. Other than that, I find the bag to be really functional and roomy for all the things I need to pack for work (lunch, papers, etc.). I haven't had the bag for long, but I am really hoping Crumpler is durable and will last for years to come.

I purchased the Crumpler laptop bag in the brown color for my boyfriend for Christmas. He absolutely loves it! What he loves most is the added security of the zipper flap and the fastener. Great size not too bulky but can still hold a 15" laptop and a few other items.

For anybody who is curious: this is the Rampaging Mob (M), not the (L) model which is slightly larger. I had to replace a five-year-old Crumpler Yee-Ross backpack after my dog chewed through its zipper, and sadly, Crumpler has stopped all direct US sales of their products. I decided on the Rampaging Mob (M), because it is a similar shape to the Yee-Ross, with more internal pockets and a 20L internal chamber instead of 13L. This backpack is fantastic. It feels just as well-made as my Yee-Ross, which I am sure would have easily lasted me another five years if my dog had not managed to destroy the zipper. The extra internal pockets make it really easy to carry a laptop, a tablet, and chargers, without worrying about anything scratching anything else, along with enough clothing to last a week or so. The padding along the back and shoulder straps make it extremely comfortable to carry, even when it is full. It is reasonably lightweight, and I plan to take it on hiking/camping trips with me in the future. The only feature that I miss from my old backpack: the Yee-Ross had a clever internal design, such that you could put an iPod or phone in the back and route a headphone cable through one of the shoulder straps, and the Rampaging Mob series does not have any such feature. The internal compartments are all sealed off from the shoulder straps. Not a huge loss, and it is a tradeoff I am happy to make, but it would have been nice to retain that feature.

This is a fantastic bag. It is slim, professional looking but also very practical. The contrast color is dramatic and fun, but still discreet enough to go with any outfit. Unfortunately, the zipper broke after nine months of regular use. I rarely stuffed the bag, and was surprised when the zipper split - and kept splitting. That was very disappointing!

This bag is great! very light, fits more than you think it will, kept my stuff dry during a wet week in November in the UK, and looks smart. Only small downside is the fabric picked up some grubbiness from my oilskin coat.

First-rate. This is very well thought out, even down to the ways the straps fasten. I've almost always traveled with a duffel bag, but decided I needed hard sides and, well, something a little more stylish. So I got this beauty. Yeah, it's expensive. And the glossy black plastic is not exactly subtle, and neither are the red straps. But it works perfectly. And after having been thrown around in transit, the glossy is scratched up a bit and it doesn't look new. For me, this is a big plus -- not a negative. For another buyer, maybe not. I much prefer the "been around a bit" look and am pleased that it arrived so quickly.

I am really pleased with this bag. I bought it so it could be a low profile, gender neutral diaper bag - one that my partner and I could continue to use once we no longer need a diaper bag, and it fits the bill perfectly. It does not have all the pockets that one would get with a proper diaper bag, but what it lacks in pockets and that sort of hyper-functionality it makes up for in serious good looks (that blue on the inside really pops!). The fact that it is expandable is another plus: makes it a great bag for big or small adventures.

Great bag, needed something for back to school and this is perfect. Packs super easy into almost nothing and fits what I carry on the daily: jacket, laptop, keys, wallet, phone and magazines. Done.

The little backpack that could is a good way of summing up this bag. A reliant all rounder that is simple and no fuss, no muss. Don't let it's Light weight and simplicity fool you, The Proud stash is sturdy and strong. It can carry two bottles of Gin, two 1 litre bottles of tonic, two bags of potato chips (barbecue and salt and vinegar) and a plastic container of home made cookies. The stash does all this without even breaking a sweat! It's only weakness is it's not as water resistant as some of the other crumpler bags so rainy days may be a day of rest for the stash. However if you are heading out to enjoy the sunshine make sure you take this little trooper with yo.

I initially bought this as a work bag - something sharp I could carry my laptop and assorted day to day things in. It has been so good for that I've ended up using it for practically anything and everything else. The fold top allows for packing a lot more than you'd think (a couple of litre bottles and a spot of shopping for instance) and the external zippered compartments provide really quick access to all the essentials. The back pocket in particular gets used for all sorts of stuff on mine and you can fit an iPad in there if you want. Also, the weather proof zips on this thing really work - I've been outdoors in a deluge with mine more times than I can count and never has anything in the bag gotten wet. More importantly... it looks really awesome on!

This is the best bag I have used in a long time. It works at the grocery store for my light shopping, errand running, going for picnics, everyday use. I am a nanny and also use it as a diaper bag. This bag is super comfortable and is so durable. Love the out and inside pockets. Totally recommend it.

I almost didn't buy this bag because I thought it would be too small to carry all my books for school. But it's got plenty of room! It's simple and versatile; I can use it around campus or as an overnight bag. One or two more pockets wouldn't hurt, but overall, I am completely satisfied with its style and storage. I also get compliments all the time on the unique color (I got it in lime).

This is a great bag. I love the color. I got it in preparaiton to summer and for as a day pack for my spring break trip. I love how simple it is and really like the fabric. Another great product from a great company. I just wish it had small pocket inside for a wallet.

Clean, lightweight bag. No frills, but I don't want any frills. No adornments, just a well-constructed backpack. It easily fits my laptop, charger, water bottle and notebook, with room to spare. If pressed to find a drawback, it would be that the front pocket is too tight to the bag, without a lot of room to maneuver if the main pouch is full.
