Very nice work shoe. They didn't need a break-in; good to go, out of the box. I've had no discomfort after a full day on different, sometimes tricky surfaces. Plenty of support without being obtrusive about it. The composite toe is unnoticeable during regular wear. That's not always the case with protective enhancements. I recommend a good thick work sock as they feel about an 1/4 of a size large.
